Hey all! I just heard last night that the 2500 rear sway bar bolts right to 1500s. What I’m wondering is if the sway bar links do as well and if the front sway bar and links work on our trucks as well? I’m wanting to improve my trucks handling a little more and I know I’m due for end links front and rear. I read where the 2500s rear sway bar is thicker than the Hellwig sway bar but it’s heavier also. I’m wondering what people’s thoughts/opinions are and if anyone has done this? Thanks in advance!

That would be cool if the bar would bolt right up. I've been contemplating getting ahold of a power wagon front and rear sway bar and wiring it to switches so I can have it connected or disconnected for more fun.

The 2500 sway bar link has a 90* angle in it on the front mount where as the 1500 is basically a straight rod with bushings on it so I'm not sure if it'd work for you. The rear sway bar link should bolt up part numbers are different but I'm thinking that's length only I Beleive the 1500 is about an inch shorter on the rear links. Shouldn't make much difference though.

I asked the guy on the Facebook forum if it was a certain model or if it mattered and if the links and the front sway bar and end links work as well, but I haven’t gotten a response. It seems like the only sway bar end link upgrade for the rear for a 4” lofted 1500 would be the Hellwigs. As for the front it seems like stock or the usual replacement brands but nothing like the Hellwigs for the rear. I’ll keep you posted on any answers that I get.

Just the front sway is disconnected on pw. I run no sway bar on front of my 2500.

To some extent I am. It’s a heavier duty 4 link kind of setup if I remember my buddy’s 13 Power Wagon configuration correctly. Why?

2500’s have a solid front axle, links, and coil springs.
1500’s have IFS with A-arms, and struts, like a car.

Which is what I kind of remembered but I was having a brain fart this morning and 4 link was the best that my mind could do. Lol. But I know the Power Wagons still have front sway bars and links. I wasn’t sure about the rest of the 2500s and that’s why I asked.

But should that matter the frame mounts should be the same?? Once it's mounted all I'm thinking you'd need is the correct links or a set of custom built ones. As long as the length isn't right out to lunch on the sway bar. Anyone have any measurements on the bar length and curve to link eye? Just curious now.

Guess it depends on which end you are talking about? the rear sway bars look very similar, and should be interchangeable between 1500 and 2500.
However, the front sway bars my have just enough differences to prevent swapping.

On the 1500, the mounts are on the front of the cross member, and appear to be inboard of the frame a bit. While on the 2500, the mounts bolt directly to the under side of the frame. The bars also appear to have a slightly different shape to them as well.

Front sway is stout, you’re going to want to dive into the springs and shocks well before touching it.

But... just increased rate rear shocks/springs and a robust sway bar will make a substantial difference on the skidpad for the 4doors. These trucks test around .55 OEM, with adequate traction(tires) and those stiffening components it’s above the R/T trim(.68) near .70 which will feel pretty nimble for 5500+ lbs.

I’ve got brand new ProComp front struts and rear shocks along with all new factory front and rear springs and brand new tires. My issue is that I know my sway bar links are about to break and I’m sure that my sway bar bushings could use a refresh as well. So, I figure if I go in and upgrade as much as I can at once it will just be easier. I have a 4” Rough Country lift on the truck now and the ride and handling is decent. Just some maintenance that I can see is coming and I’d like to make a few more improvements when I do the maintenance to the sway bar links and bushings. That’s why I’m asking all of this.

So, I did get confirmation that the 2500 rear sway bar does bolt right in. The guy that did it has a 2wd RT so I don’t know about the end links for sure but he did say it was a direct bolt on.

As for the front sway bar and links I have no idea yet but I’m working on that as well.

You tracked Steven down did you, lol. If I stumble into a cheap rear bar for a 2500,my Hellwig bar might go up for sale,i'll keep my adjustable Hellwig endlinks though.

I'm planning to lower my rear 1" lower for a 5" inch rear drop. Would I need to ask Core 4x4 to make them for a 5" drop or I saw that they have them for 4" drops already listed on the website. THanks for the info, they look awesome

They will make them to whatever length you want. I ordered mine over the phone and didn't use the website preselection menu. They are nice to deal with over the phone. If you mention the code "hot damn" theyll give you 5% off
