A little off topic here but has anyone heard that deer meat lowers blood pressure and cholesterol? Some guy was at the DRS office the other day and said he knew someone that went 100% deer meat and no longer needs blood pressure or colesterol medication?

If you stick with fresh meat and veggies, even fruit, you are doing a great thing for your body. It is soon as you add starch that you get issues.

Next time we all shoot the ****, let's do it in other thread? :)

Uhhhhh, is this where the syn oil thresd used to live? In case it is, wanted to get your feelin's on these pics. This is after my 45 mile ride home from work today. One moving 40 mph and the other idling in my driveway. Typically run this rig kinda hard. Running 0w40 PUP, 10-48 RP filter. They look like the algorithm is working as designed; to ensure customer expectations are met. o_O

Yeah, oil is no different. Exactly what change benefited oil formulations? You might make an argument low calcium was a benefit for di's, but every thing done to oil blows donkey balls. Tell uncle Obama to shove it, run a real stout oil or move over to super class 0w40's.

Or are the bean counters stopping this from happening.
Yes, two things at play:
A. Using technology and engineering to reduce manufacturing cost, rather than improve performance and/or longevity. Bean counters call it Material Cost Management or MCM. My buddy, the retired AMC/Jeep/Mopar engineer calls it MCM=Make Customers Mad

B. Using technology for the sake of worthless gimmickery, or, like in this case, to give false indications. They don't save anything by reinterpreting the signal to give phony numbers, right? I understand smoothing the signal and all that, but showing bogus numbers is nothing short of asinine.

QSUD 5w30, Wix XP oil filter, Filtermag, 119.2 engine hours on oil. And a huge drop in copper, 271 ppm to 144ppm. FullSizeRender.jpg

Qsud seems highly regarded around here , I think Smiley really likes it too .
You hear lots of good about it and never real any bad ...
Lots of Magnesium !
Decent amount of Molybdenum as well , more than any 30 wt I've seen other than RL @500 ppm .

PYB had 180+ moly. I know its not a syn but its a good oil with a strangely bad rep for some reason.
