m1 fs 0w40 is 26 bucks at wally for 5 quart, kinda stupid good pricing imo. That would be the direction I'd go, drop that LG in too.

M1 if it's on sale is a pretty decent price at Canadiain Tire to.Right now the 4.73 litre jugs of Pup are about 39 bucks and Mobit 1 is 46 bucks for 5.73 litres. I'll go with which ever combo you guys think is best,as i'm not up on oils anywhere near as much,so i'm deferring to the experts, lol
both oils are SP, 0w40 is sn+, doesnt say 5w30 is but isnt SP good enough for lspi? No pao in 5w30, but those numbers are in 0w40. Either weight chalked full of great specs.M1 FS is what Travis mentioned, new in 5W-30.
Had been in 0W-40 and 5W-40.
Again, not for GDI motors, I think.

If i were you i would roll on with redline and when redline is not available when you need to change your oil pick mobil 1 FS 0w40I consider Redline as the oil with a guarantee. It would be easy to just say, use Redline and forget about it. I'm tempted myself. However, where I live Redline isn't always available and therefore finding readily available, cheaper alternatives is a good idea.
I would just try it, keep the OCI short and have it tested to see the results. With the high moly, it might be a great contender. I would check the visco compared with an oil like PUP 5w30.
Thats their highest PAO oil these days except for m1 racing 0w30 or 0w50decene bitog
Rick, instead of mixing I think I'd try that m1 0w40 fs.
it has to be the europen formula, unless travis has other pao m1 oil listed.
The general rule is moly=positive zddp=positive calcium=negative magnesium=neutralHmmm thought magnesium was the magic atom.

Well my truck has already been through the cam and liftesrs and now has hellcat pump and performance springs sooo we’ll see what happens. UOA after every oc going forward should tell the story.I didnt read this thread, just first search result m1fs 0w40 in a ram, and it is ugly. I wanna say oil had nothing to do with it, but I wanna see more hemi uoas. For now still a ton of potential, maybe a total outliar? The oil looks outstanding, too bad this even exists.
Oh dear.. what does this mean for someone like me that is running M1 FS 0w40 in his engine right now.I didnt read this thread, just first search result m1fs 0w40 in a ram, and it is ugly. Thats the old formula with lots of fuel dilutionfirst uoa at bobs sheared into 10's in a kia 4k miles m1 fs 0w40.
definitely not di friendly either wth?
My guess is it has to be coincidence That it happened when he switched oils. He did a couple more short ocis with different oils that showed elevated iron wear so he pulled the cam and lifters and found the cam not to be properly hardened.I didnt read this thread, just first search result m1fs 0w40 in a ram, and it is ugly.
