Good LORD .....THE INDUSTRY IDIOTS ARE WINNING .....WE MUST REBALE .[emoji36][emoji36][emoji848][emoji16][emoji16][emoji106]

I know I come across as a joker , But I do believe if the general public like us do not refuss then the oil / Auto industry and government Idiocracy will ruin our beloved 250,000 to 500,000 mile PLUS automobils to a max expected life of less than 100k ... This means every 6-8 years for most AMERICANS WE WILL BE FORCED TO PURCHASE A 45K TO 65K automobile ....

I've purchased houses for less .....

Make your choice ...either hug a tree or do what is logical ..

If that happens, I'm going down to Atlanta and buying a dealer proofed Powerstroke Super Duty from Bill Hewitt, putting stacks on it, and rolling coal past any treehuggers I see

It's all a government plan to promote mass transit. They don't want you to have the freedom to go where you want, when you want.

I travel to Europe every once in a while and that is the olny way you can get around in the small villages in the valleys. I hate it.

They have NO IDEA how little control they have over their lives there.

Oh, by the way. Ya know FCA dealers are supposed to be using Pennzoil, right. I know if at least one that's using generic store brand oil.

Iv heard of them still using Mobil 1. Dont know how they get away with it. Purchases records will show it. So Chrysler might not care to much.

My dealership uses pennzoil

I'm not going to use synthetic anymore, so there's more chance that engine fails before my warranty runs out in a year.

I just thought how hypocritacle is this, you "must" use ms6395 certified oil, what BS. It's a crap shoot what you get if you go in and say I just need an oil change.

LOL

Go to PQIA and you will find oils that are sub par. That will speed up your process

Seriously... If an engine has weak components, why would I be using RedLine so it'll help to make them last longer so it breaks after warranty is up?

It's best for these weak components to break while still under 100k powertrain warranty so it gets repaired properly, and you're not just placing a bandage on it with better oil, and then it'll break after the warranty is up.

How do you go about choosing an oil? We are at a point where cheaper synthetics look really good against the field.

Your situation Kap is not what we are used too. That was messed up. You will have to find a good oil for your truck when you get t fixed. PQIA is becoming irrelevant, new formulas are all nearly identical and are low calcium, low zddp group 3's. Group 3 base oil is still great stuff, m1, castrol, maybe Penzoil PUP. The one that actually is built different and for the hemi is the PUP lineup, I'd think about 5w30 at least.

Someone made a comment the other night, and I don't remember who it was, about Mobil 1 not having the doughnut. I looked at it today and the only Mobil 1 that does not have the doughnut is the high mileage. We don't have any of the new annual change stuff in the store so I can't speak to that one.

Something interesting to ponder is that 2 of the 3 V8s that FCA produces still call for 0W40. That's the 6.2 (Hellcat) and 6.4 in the challenger, charger, and HD pickups. I do realize that the 5.7 sales far outnumber those two put together. Still, the 6.4 in the passenger cars came out in 2011 and the 6.4 in the HD trucks just came out 3 years ago. They were brand new motors... why didn't they design them to run on baby oil? The better question may be in how they got away with it. My guess is because they are comparatively low production numbers in comparison to the 5.7. Contrasting thoughts?
