You could check your voltage drop and voltage peak with a multimeter while starting .
My battery is only 6 months old ish ... And my voltage regulator & alternator is in good shape ...keep us informed .

8 years, I'm just gonna swap. Calling costco today, anything I ca buy from costco, I buy from coscto. They are the best at any warranty or anything. Hopefully they have an AUG battery, but if not I will see if they have kirkland. Their kirkland has a 100 mos warranty. Read some of the stuff online, people that didn't even think they had warranty were getting money back from costco. If they don't have kirkland, I'll just get the interstate, it is 140 bucks. Here in CA, less important then you guys in snow country. My bronco I drove for 11 years, I replaced the battery at 36 mos to interstate, and never needed another in those 8 years and I drove the hell out of that thing.

I see esp light can be caused by low battery, so hopefully that is it.

9 years on a battery... damn nice.

Well if it's not done it will be soon so can't hurt to replace it.

Damn wish I had a Costco closer. It's 2 hour drive for me so not really worth it for me. Yeah the cold really kills car batteries quick especially if the vehicle sits a lot. I figured 5 years was good for mine considering it sits outside all week in the winter.

8 years is damn good I'd be happy with that for sure!

I wish they gave the option to take 3 grand or a warranty on these trucks, I would take the 3 g's all day long.

Long vid but all of the info is beneficial imo.

That is a great video, I thought I posted that like 2 days ago, maybe I forgot. I used some of the information in that video to answer a question anyhow, I am pretty sure Hammer would say his testing is better, but I think I'm going with that video as a great resource. There really is a difference with the big companies versus the smaller blenders to solve problems and extend performance. I still aint buying the year thing, but as an oil guy I appreciate the effort. And the more soccer mom's that buy into the year thing the better for the world as well, saves us a lot f barrels!

The 25k SS claim is done so under ideal conditions. That would be a healthy engine to start with, mostly highway driving, not towing, and all in under a year's time.

If none of the above conditions are met, it drops to 15k. Read their guarantee. It has disclaimers just as any other oil company has.

I ran it 12k+ miles while while towing near my truck's maximum capacity cross country several times in hot and much of it was mountainous conditions. I ended up with a tbn of around 3 and excellent wear numbers. What more could anyone ask for from an oil?

That was just a test to satisfy my own curiousity. Would I do that again? Nope. My curiousity is satisfied. I doubt I'll even run it 10k. Not because I think it'll hurt, but it definitely won't do it any favors... and I actually enjoy changing my oil. Its a new truck, what else can I do?? Haha

Sorry for being pages behind. But your UOA on that 12,000 mile run had over 80ppm of iron. Thats not what i would want out of that scenario.
