Ha ha. , I sure did [emoji106] I knew I'd have a reason to use it at some point LOLLol
You saved that picture
Wet clutch^ ?
Yeah my motor runs smooth as silk on the 4qts of 10w30 and 3qts 5w30 .
I will probably keep this mix going for some time as I see no reason to change at this point.
At this point when I change out the oil in my Explorer its getting RL 10w30 or 5w40 or a mix of the 2.. lol
Then will change all the fluids out to Redline on it as well.
If you might remember I switched the transmission fluid out on my Harley to Redline, well I am going to switch it back to Harley oil as Its hanging up on shifts from 3rd to fourth and it did not do that before thought that odd.
He's a member on here I believe. I asked him what oil he used to get that kind of mileage out of a Hemi and he said M1.I forgot everything he said as soon as I heard ram SRT 10
No I never did. Might mix in 4 quarts before our Colorado trip this summer...Corey I forgot, did you try 10w30 redline?
Yeah, I put redline in the primary with the clutches as well.
Problem I have since doing this is that when you shift to 4th from 3rd it does not do it then when ypu let the clutch out you over rev.
Its done this 4 times in about 200 miles after making the change and never before.
I dont know I might switch them both out since its only 2 quarts.
Here is the Harley version of this thread... prob find some great info there.Yeah, I put redline in the primary with the clutches as well.

Just for clarity, you did use RL Shockproof in the primary and not motor oil, correct?I rode my last bike that way so I will give that a shot ans see.
I have it in my head that the shift fork is sticking and not pulling it into the next gear.. lol
First time I just thought it was me but after the last time and banging the rev limiter and while paying attention I no thats not the case.. lol
I was just looking around on that Harley forum and some guys said they just used RL motor oil in all three holes. Other guys said they tried it and had problems. It seems the consensus around there say to run Shockproof if you're going to go with a RL product in the primary. Is shockproof needed or is it your preference? I always used 75-110 Amsoil severe gear.
On my 04 heritage the shifter wouldn't return to the centered position by itself when it was good and hot. It wasn't locked up, just wouldn't return on its own. That was with screamin eagle oil. Dropped that oil and put Amsoil 20/50 mc oil in all three holes and never had that problem again. Also used M1 and Castrol and problem never returned.I was just looking around on that Harley forum and some guys said they just used RL motor oil in all three holes.
