Right - not trying to "win" anything - I appreciate everybody on this site. I've learned a ton and applied some great new accessories.

Goff is one of the best post season qbs around, and his stats were against some tough teams. The issue is Bears got better and rodgers is under contract for the foreseeable future. Your division is almost as tough as mine, the wild wild west. The niners might be the worst team in this division, how crazy is that? Good luck with Goff, fun to see what happens.
Im excited but im sure ill be hurt again lol

I am looking into adding the OEM oil cooler to my 2013 Ram 1500 5.7. My understanding is that it came as apart of the police package Rams as well as 2017+ Ram 1500 5.7 with the trailer tow group.

Can anyone that has this oil cooler confirm whether or not the larger Fram XG2 oil filter will still fit with the oil cooler installed?

Link to oil cooler: https://www.moparpartscanada.ca/oem-parts/mopar-engine-oil-cooler-4893309aa

Thanks

My 2017 supposedly has all the towing goodies available but I honestly am not sure if I have seen this on it.

I am running a Fram XG2 though.

The add specifically doesn't list the Outdoorsman past 2016 but I assume that is because you couldn't get one in the US past 2016 but could in Canada.

I believe you would need to pipe coolant to that? Not sure where the SSV trucks get it from but it might require some more parts from the SSV...

The other parts needed are:
  • Thermostat housing: 53022168AD
  • Engine cooler adaptor: 4893345AA
  • Oil Cooler line: 52014832AC
  • Lower Radiator Hose: 52014835AB
The lower rad hose listed above has provisions to connect to one end of the oil cooler. The other end of the oil cooler is connected to the oil cooler line, which connects to the thermostat housing listed above.

Great parts list thanks!

I know my truck doesn't have this, if you do end up putting this on definitely let us know how it works

I would like to do the upgrade but I would like to hear from other members if 1) The XG2 filter will fit with the cooler and 2) If the cooler actually makes a difference.

If anyone confirms that they do have this cooler on their truck then please let us know your thoughts.

So,

How would that affect used oil analysis? Obviously if you did test over and over using the bypass he would still have a standard but your standard is very different than a normal UOA with no bypass.?

I think the issue with gas versus diesel is oil pump strength, would be my guess why they arent as popular with gas. Having the issue with hemi's and idle lubrication, i'm not sure the juice is worth the squeeze.
