It has only happened like 4 times so far. At first i wasn't sure what I heard and then it happened again and that's when I noticed it happening on the downshift slowing at freeway speeds.Does it lung when it down shifts and thunks?
I believe....the 2500's have the BW44-46 or the 44-47 transfer case, the 46 is the electronic one and the 47 is the manual one

I am going to try and replicate if more and pay more attention when i think it will happen so I can get better details.
The only way I can describe the sound is a thunk that sound like someone hit the tailgate but it is clearly coming from under the area of the backseat floorboard. Nothing in the truck rattling around either.
Has anyone replaced the fan clutch and electric fan with an electric fan set up on the 6.4 yet?
I pick up my 2500 6.4L tomorrow. Here’s a screen shot of the window sticker. I was about to replace the fan clutch on my 5.7 1500 but couldn’t pass up the deal on this, and I need the bigger truck for our camper.

43'? Holy snapping asses that's a beast! Weight? My 3500 6.4 Hemi gets 12 to 14 MPG not pulling anything on the highway. Once I hook to the 43' 5th wheel RV I get around 8 MPG. Plenty of power and it pulls great and handles well. It is a crew cab 4x4.
What's the point with the plastic covers anyway? Never got the reason why all manufactures put a cover on the engine.
