Well good thing I’m not commercial, or for hire. My Dad and I are probably going to pull the trigger on these for our trucks. In the near future. 19 more gallons of gas sure is worth it.

Did you guys ever pull the trigger on the Titan tanks? This is one of the only things currently pushing me away from the Ram. I need better fuel capacity for the long tows.

So I(just) purchased my 6.4 because it was the truck my sales people recommended when I was shopping for trucks, the Cummins in particular. They advised me for what my needs were(towing up to 10k, once a week 400 mile round trip, hills and mountains all below 3600 elevation) that the big Hemi would do fine. On all the other days, it will be my second daily driver and I feel with the rear springs, it did ride smoother than the Ford/Chevys did unloaded, when i drove all three back to back to back. You gotta give it to(my particular)the salesman...they could have made more of a commissions from me had I stuck with my original plan to purchase the monster diesel with similar trim and options.

I have a solo muffler delete pipe. For what it is sounds really really good with minimal drone.

I just bought a 2017 2500 Wednesday and have not ran a tank of fuel through it. Says I'm getting 13 mpg which is pretty close to what my 93 Dakota with the 5.2 in it. I love the sound when I'm going down the road and so far love the truck.

All stock? That's what I'm getting in my 18 with a mild lift and 35's.

Before my larger tires and gear change i would get about 15-16 highway on summer blend. About 13 in town.

Winter blend highway is always terrible at around 14 highway and 12 in town.

Just a quick update - I posted a few pages back that my transmission had to be replaced with 30000 miles on the truck. The dealer did a fine job over Thanksgiving weekend. I believe I dropped the truck off Wednesday before turkey day and they had it back to me Tuesday morning. All good. I did confirm with the mechanic that they do flush the lines, it is part of the procedure from Chrysler. New torque converter comes with tranny too.

I hope you do see an increase. I'm at 30000 miles and I'm stuck around 12. When I tow my 8500lb camper I see 8.5mpg if I take it easy.

I have a 2017 2500 4x4 crew cab I took it to colorado on a elk hunt. I have 35 tires. I was pulling a trailer weighing 6500 lbs I drove from Ohio to Colorado and back got 8mpg.
The most frustrating part was on 70 east bound going into denver I could only climb some hills at 60 miles per hour flat on the floor. My truck only has 9000 miles on it

I have a 6.4L 3500 Laramie with 4:10 gears & factory 20” tires (similar to 35”). No issues towing any speed I want up hill. My camper is 9200lbs and the bed is typically loaded to the hilt with wood & supplies. I get 9-10mpg towing, 12mpg around town, and 16mpg on the highway. It’s my daily driver.

If they are the factory tires they are 33” tall.

I guess they are closer to 33, than 35, being 33.5”. Pretty similar, especially when running AT -BFG KO2 tires. The Firestone’s are get slightly better mileage, but weigh a lot less.

2018 6.4 and I get around 14 mixed and 16-17 highway . If I freed up the exhaust and installed an electric fan I bet I could get a bump of 1-2 mpg .
