So as everyone probably knows now, rough country decided to use coil spacers in their lift kit. I was going to order that kit, use 5100's in the front set to 2.8 and then add the 3'' pa body lift and rear spacers to avoid the nose high problem. My question is, with the change of their kit i cant use the spacers ontop of their kit now. So if i install the 6'' kit and 5100's at 2.8 i will be extremely nose high. what can i do to level the rear with the front if i use the 5100's still?
Or am I just out of luck and probably should just use the 6 inch lift 3 inch body lift and set the bilsteins to like 2.1 and hope its level?

Yeah I wasn't aware of the spacers until the lift showed up at my house. I'm going to eventually buy the 5" BDS rear coils when I go to put bilsteins on the front of mine. I contacted BDS and he said that they are available separately

so when you installed the new rough country lift, did it level your truck? or does it still have a little rake? assuming it had a rake to begin with. Im hoping i can use the lift and then set the 5100's to something like 2.1 or 1.8 and it still be either pretty level or have a slight rake since i do tow a boat. id like to keep a slight rake, but i also don't want to have to throw out the 5100's

It'll still have a bit of a rake. I think either the 1.4 or 2.1 setting should work. 2.1 may put it a bit nose high, depending on how much rake your truck has

You can add new extended length springs or bottom mount spacers

My bad I didn't mean 1.8 okay so maybe I'll just have to do a little guessing and set the 5100's at 1.4 and if it's level then I'm all set. Or I could try ordering an older kit off eBay that doesn't use spacers, set the 5100's to 2.8 and add a 1.5" rear spacer.

You could even go with the 6"zone lift with the 5" rear springs. I was on the fence about goin with rcx or zone. But If I would've known the rcx lift came with spacers and not springs, I would've went with the zone. It's a bit more money but its made by BDS

Bighorn, from what I have read, (not experience) the 2.1 setting gets it really close to level with maybe a touch of rake left. Maybe someone else can chime in on this?

So if i go with the rough country, set the bilsteins at 2.1 and add the 3'' body lift it should be close to level if not it will have a slight rake?

This was made news to us recently.
Thanks moparmorris for letting us know as well

The only way to lift the rear is via a rear coil spacer. So you would need a coil/spring in the rear and a rear coil spacer to get the rear up so its not nose high.

We can get the Zone/BDS rear coil for anyone interested

I'll be getting a hold of you soon about getting a set of those rear coils.

so rather then order the rough country kit, and then have to order new springs to raise the back a little to adjust for the 5100's. Pretty close to the same price as the zone 6/5 inch lift and i wont have to buy new springs with the zone kit. correct?

On my Rcx 6" with bils 2.1 would have been way nose high.
I've got a 1.5" rear spacer with my bils set at 2.1" I'm dropping the rear to a 1" spacers to level it a little.

id like to go with a rough country lift but not the new one that uses coil spacers. i wanted to put my own spacers on after the lift. so i guess i will just have to go with the zone lift and use the 5100's and additional spacers.

You can go with the rcx and buy the bds coils like I am. It'll cost you maybe $50 more than the zone. Do what I did and Talk to Andrew at bully's performance and he can give you some prices and different options. I guess the biggest thing that sold me on the rcx over zone, was the rcx kit comes with longer rear upper arms instead of brackets like the zone kit.

This right here.
I ran the above setup with a 1" rear and its near level at 1/4" rake.
To the naked eye, its level
