lol, no i didnt hit my head... i loved the ram, still do, i visit it every few hours its really tearing me up inside that its sitting there like that , chances of me getting a raptor is about 1% chances of me getting a subaru wrx sti is about 98%, i know it prob sounds horrible, but i really hope they total it, because it wont ever be the same IMO, you can fix it, it may look pretty, but it wont be the same, 1 the paint will never be as good a factory, any body shop will tell you this, 2 truck will have lost its value, so if in the future i want to sell it/trade it ill be screwed, and 3... i wont ever trust it, 3 or 4 years down the road, the motor might go due to the impact or something. i dont want that worry , im so stressed its not even funny, my friends are starting to make jokes about me camping out with my truck, because im always there.... insurance set me up with a ford fusion rental, what a heap of ****!

The worst part is that most states, have a Damage Disclaimer law, where if you incur over a set amount of damage you have to disclose it on a trade, sale or whatever. You will be lucky if a dealership would even want this truck now on a trade. They may give you five cents on the dollar, but not much more. You are just screwed if they don't total it.

I had a 2001 Dodge Dakota, where someone ran their turn light and I t-boned them at 45mph. Hood was up over my roof, on this truck and they did not total it. This truck never drove the same, felt the same, or looked the same.

I took a total loss trading it, and I can tell you that loss has followed me through multiple trades since then too. Now due to that incident I always seem to be upside down !!

Pray to God that they total this truck!!

Oh and my airbag did not come out either. If I would have been smart, I would have sued Dodge over just this alone!!

Not to mention with an impact like this, your body will never be the same, my back and neck have been screwed big time since my accident...

Apparently my truck was totalled when I bought it, my dad and I buy wrecked cars from an auction where the insurance company takes them too.




I fixed it for around $1000.

Looks like a ton of damage, glad your ok. I had scion xb that i was rear ended pretty hard in, it cost 14k to fix a 16/17k car. I couldnt belive it. Needless to say i went the same route and traded it in for a wrx. Wished i would of just got the STI also. Whatever happens, good luck.

had my share of accidents, Once the fenders are off, and the frame s bent, it's totalled. period. insurers will not straiighten frames. At least some don't. I had a rearend on a nssan sentra, (base model) half ths car was mushed, but the frame was good and it was repaired. And traded in for a kia! lol. But I own the Kia now, and I am happy with it. Tough luck, on the accident. Ya cant see wind gusts most days!

had a accident in my ram... im having mixed thoughts on if its totaled or not what do you think? from what i can see, truck needs 3 doors, 2 fenders, 2 side windows, bumper (and all crash stuff) grille, headlights, fog lights, hood, needs a rim, and a tire, the complete strut assembly is destroyed, and control arms are broken, firewall has a nice kink in it, frame damage upfront from impact, door seams are off, the box is touching the cab on the drivers side, tailgate gap is closer to the tail light on one side then the other, and the box has a slight twist to it when looking at it from behind..... truck still starts..... the guy who towed it, said it wont be fixed... and really i hope it don't, because it would never be the same again

i took the cover off, but the rest of what i had done was destroyed in the accident, i cant get the mufflex off because i had it welded on

Samm I got a friend who writes estimates for his body shop and he says it's a total. Frames bent down on right front.

the insurance adjuster is going to look at it tomorrow so i should know by tomorrow whats going to happen.... i was thinking of buying it back, i have all the bumper parts, and grill and a set of headlights already.... or i could turn it into a ram runner LOL
