08 4.7 with 213k. Having a bad clacking/knocking noise. I believed it was the timing chain. A local mechanic did too. I broke it down and noticed slack in the cam chains. When at TDC the slack is in driver side chain (note orange plastic dowel). When I rotate one rotation the slack is in the passenger side Chain.
Should I just replace all timing chains, gears, etc.? The tensioners seem to be extended quite a bit. Any other advice someone can give me?

You are already that deep in replace all of it. And get a quality set
Thanks will do. I was just hoping the chain kit will solve everything. I didn't know if this type of wear on the chains is normal or if something else is a problem too.
