Traded in my 2016 Laramie for a 2021 Laramie. Used to run my 2016 at 39lbs per OEM recs. I see the recommended pressure is now 36lbs. When I picked it up from dealer the tires were all set at 40lbs or higher and have not changed them yet.

What are others inflating to with my same setup?

I keep my tires inflated to the recommended pressures on the door jam sticker for OEM tires. Off-road driving excluded, I can't think of a reason to deviate from those unless I replace the tires with another type of tire. Such as going from an all-season tire to an AT or LT tire.

I also picked up a 21 Laramie 3 weeks ago and they were all inflated to anywhere between 39-42 PSI. I lowered the pressure down to 36 per the door jamb sticker just like Mike said.

Were they HOT or Cold when you checked the pressure? Makes a difference. Vehicle not moving for two hours to return to Cold pressure spec. Listed specs are ALWAYS on Cold tires..... On my 2500, and every other vehicle I drive, the pressure goes up 4 to 6 pounds after being driven for several miles. Especially at highway speeds.....

I run what is on the door also. I have no reason to adjust it.

Always cold. I generally always check first first thing in the morning if something looks off on the EVIC.

Very odd, I had same. I guess the dealers must be using the old pressure as well or don't even bother to change at delivery.

I'm now at 36 Cold!

Thanks All!

I had the same thing when I bought my 19. They were at 40 psi. I put them to 36 psi.

4th Gen rams were 39 and I think some 5th Gena are too. Probably just tech doing what is most common instead of checking each door. I personally run 39 with my Bridgestones. I feel they are too soft at 36 and tolerable at 39. Even at 39 I have a guy at work who swears they look low all the time. In theory running anything other than door recommendations under normal conditions can increase or cause uneven tire wear. I'm willing to risk it.

I recently got new tires (275/60/20) and really played around a lot with the pressure.

40/38/37 and finally 36. About a week at each level.

Recommendation on the door (36) turned out to be the best for the luxury ride! Not sure what it did for MPG.

Just fyi, the 4th gen rams came factory with 275/60/20, The 5th gens are 275/55/20, so the door sticker difference.
