unfortunately its not too rare!
my buddy works for GE on the wind turbines, they have a fleet of Rams
brand new truck with less than 200 miles on it burnt to the ground at one of the sites a couple of months ago
We've had 2 newer trucks catch on fire on the interstate in our county in the last year.
Happens to Jeep JKs too.
Sometimes its something in the dash starts it, others the auto trans overheats and pukes tranny fluid onto the exhaust manifold.
Other times ?????

Update: called dealer this morning, the service manager didnt seem to care very much. He didnt even take my name or number to look into latest service done by them.
I called RAM customer service and they seem pretty motivated to investigate the situation. I also informed them of the ignorant service manager. The guy on the phone elevated the situation and sounds like they will be picking up the vehicle or at least inspecting it...
