Man do these things need a tune....if for nothing more than to kill the torque management. People said it's bad...I didn't think it was as bad as it is even with traction control off.
Best pass of the night was:
2.1 60'
9.4 1/8
14.6 1/4 @ 92.5 mph

There has to be 2/10's in the 1-2 shift....I've never felt a shift lag so bad.
I ran manually shifting as well as just letting it shift....slowed down a hair letting it shift itself.

I ran the numbers through the HP calculator on my website and I'm sure hoping the TM killing power is the reason for the low numbers.
I ran it with both ET and trap speed and was within a few HP either way.
Weight with me in it is 5250 exactly....I'm about 220.
Both ways say right at 280 to the tires.

We'll see what the dyno says tomorrow....I was guessing 310-315 but I'm not so sure anymore. If it shows closer to where it should be given the bolt on mods I'll know the TM is really hurting it. If it shows closer to the 280 I'll know for sure it needs tuning to bring the bolt ons together.

I'll update the dyno numbers tomorrow afternoon.

What really sucks is my 7600 pound F250 trapped higher in the 1/8 than this thing does in the 1/4. lol

Dang man, that stinks. I'm sure it is just the torque management killing it though. Sure you just need a good tune eventually!

It is what it is....that's why you test. If you don't know where you're starting you won't know if you're making progress.

While my 2012 has plenty of power for my needs, it doesn't seem to have the power my 2003 did years ago. Like you said, the PM is probably sucking it down.

Nice to see the numbers. Thanks for posting for the rest of us to see.

a 14.6 in a 1/4 mile is not bad honestly i wouldnt be upset with that for a stock truck (not sure of mods?) but im sure tune would help the cause i went to the strip not long ago and the tundras werent getting any better times than that and everyone thinks tundras are fast

I ran an extended cab Tundra on my last pass...he ran a 16.1

I'm curious to see what the dyno shows in a little while. If it shows the 300+ that others are seeing with bolt ons then the TQ management is way worse than I ever imagined.

That's odd... I really expected the R/T to run better than that. Are you running with those SRT wheels at the track?

The tundra's aren't THAT quick... I've had a few for breakfast and as a snack before dinner

lol tundras are quick but the hemis are stout as well, and to unbroken if your running those srt wheels which look to be 22s? thats why your time isnt the best get some cheap light 17s for the track and your time will get better

I'm well aware of a wheel's effect on getting a vehicle moving. We can discuss unsprung weight till the cows come home...still, R/T's come stock with 22's and many are running way faster. I really think it's the TM more than anything else...that theory gets tested at noon.
The 2.1 60' which I know can be improved with more time to get the launch down shows the wheels aren't hurting much of anything in this case. That's right where I expected it to be....it might 2.0 I just couldn't get enough runs in last night to see.

Something I just remembered...the ETC light came on a few times yesterday. I didn't know what it was till I looked it up just now.
Apparently that can or will reduce power?

That could have definitly been a problem, that usually means limp mode from what I understand
Theres a few things that could have caused it and it should have left a code
Could be anything from a lose battery terminal to a gunked up sensor

What all have you done to it? I'm at 4900 stock with half tank of gas and me in it and I weigh 230. I'm wondering where the extra weight is coming from besides the 22s.

Fiberglass bed cover, body kit, BedRug and some heavier suspension parts. Had 1/4 tank of gas in it.
