I was wonder what the difference is between factory keys are versus keys that are bought that are designed for leveling a dodge.

Ah...this question. This has been an arguement since everyone started leveing the IFS trucks.

The new keys purchased are "supposed" to give you the lift, while keeping your factory ride comfort. I.E. Not as rough as just cranking the keys up.

I have done both. I've cranked the stock keys up, and I've also bought new keys. BOTH had the same ride comfort.

The keys MIGHT have been a little softer...but not enough to tell.

The difference is a leveling key is a little bit wider, they achieve lift the same way as cranking the adjusters

03 Model the Ready-Lift Set-up is a good choice IMO and if I remember correctly comes with a steel adapter for use with your service kit clamp. No Requirement to add longer shocks however just because I have not had any probs but like Dave said it is a good idea, as this kit does raise the front 2 ". Some cheasy kits have little brackets that add onto the shock, the ready lift does not, and are Forged.

I do plan to add them later (longer shocks) and I didn't cause my shocks were then new at the time 18K more until due and then I can Brand Match to my 0-4 lift Rear Ranchos.

Just crank that ****. Don't waste your money on new keys.

the torsion keys you buy to give you the 2" lift are indexed more. IMO it does the same thing as cranking the stockers but withouth having to crank them as far.

I put some on my 05 Chevy and didn't notice a difference in the ride. I also upgraded the shocks at the same time
