I couldn't help it...
Trade in values are awesome. I got $30K for my '18 1500 Big Horn with 50K miles. Trading in saved me roughly $2K in taxes. The total payments to own my 1500 free and clear were $35,***. So, driving that truck for a 2 years only cost me $3K or so. I'll take that all day long on a brand new truck.
The new rig is a 2020 2500 Laramie Megacab. It's loaded with the Level 2 group, Night Edition, air suspension, automatic steps, etc. Wow, it's a sweet truck! Sticker was $79,***. The dealer came up with $12K in rebates and discounts. Although that isn't huge (compared to the discounts when I bought my 1500), it's much better than what I've been seeing during the pandemic.
I think it was a great time to buy give the discounts and stellar trade in.
I LOVE the new ride. It's def my dream truck. Gonna add a Line X bedliner, Deezee bed mat, Extang Solid Fold 2.0 tonneau cover and some KO2's. Other than that, it doesn't need a thing to be perfect.
