Under hood light extra parts?

So just finished installing the under hood lamp to my express... This lil light with a switch was Inc. In the box but not used in installation of the Underwood light. Part # 4565022. What's it for?

The kit with both lights was a recall parts kit for a batch of higher trim trucks that were shipped without the two. They are not supposed to be sold, just used for the recall, but they are pretty easy to get and cheaper than buying just the underhood light. I got mine that way.

I got the kit and installed the underhood light and have the spare glove box light.

Anyone know how to attach the glove box light?

I popped the glove box off and couldn’t find any connectors nor a slot anywhere it would fit.

Install was too easy, Right? I think this light is for the upper glove box which I assume since you didn't have the under hood light you probably don't have the upper golve box either...

Install was very easy, and yup no upper box.

Looks like I need to do the upper glove box mod now.

I got that in my kit too !
Do you have pics of where your harness went? I can only see one connector on firewall near hood but wont plug into that. Did you pull the entire hood insulation down too??
