Upholstery

Drivers seat is in need of a new seat cushion and new upholstery. Anyone know of a good place that I can order that from. Capable of doing the work myself (would need the hog clip pliers to install).

And the center console pad is worn and cracked. Anyone know where or how to get it repaired/fixed?

Friend of mine bought a new cushion and cover off Ebay for his 05. Said it fit and matched perfectly (well, as good as it could match being brand new vs the rest of the stuff being 12 years old )

Im guessing you could find the same for the console as well.

I also bought a center console cover. Read a lot of good reviews. We shall see how well it works. The padding on the drivers side is worn. Thinking I might use some of the foam from the old seat cushion to fix where it is worn. Any other thoughts?

If you happen to have or know someone with a garment steamer, you can try to steam the cushion to expand it back to (or at least closer to) original.

Could also buy new seat foam if you wanted to spend the money

Edit: I see now you're talking about the armrest foam. Might be better off going to a craft store and grabbing some thin foam to put over or in place of the existing. Such a small piece shouldn't be hard to find and probably not expensive.

I can see where I am misunderstood in my previous post. I bought a new seat cushion. My thoughts are to use the foam from the old cushion to repair the pad in the center console arm rest.

I haven't pulled my armrest cover yet but the seat foam is pretty thick, I would think a lot thicker than the armrest foam but don't know for sure.

Everything arrived yesterday but because I was sick I didn’t get to it until today.

This is my before pics:




The cushion is torn on both sides and it felt like I was sitting on the frame. Very uncomfortable ride.


To provide some cushion someone at some point stuffed some stuffing where it was torn.






And this is comparing the two and yes one is not like the other but I’ll see if I can make it work anyways.



And here for the finished product.


All in all I am happy with it despite the color difference and the obvious (to me) difference in seat cushions. I am just happy that it feels good on my bum and looks way better than a mashed ripped seat!!
