IMG_9552.jpegIMG_9553.jpegIMG_9550.jpegIMG_9551.jpegIMG_9550.jpegFirst post here! I noticed a bad leak yesterday and found a pinhole in my water pump heater inlet pipe. Has anyone ever had this issue and could it be a precursor to something like a water pump going bad?

Not really a precursor to anything. It looks like something has hit it. Possibly kicked back by your fan .

Looks like something hit it, at least from the pic angle it appears that way. Keep in mind that coolant is acidic in nature and will eat away your pipe, pump, hoses from the inside out. Could also be a MFG defect as well.

Thanks. Just wondering because my temperature gauge is going up to halfway, then will slide back down to more of a normal level. Never goes past halfway mark but it just seems weird or maybe I’m just being paranoid since I just had cooling issues
