Is there any way to tell that the hood vent is sealing on the box and no hot air getting in?

I bought a used 2010 Ram 1500 5.7 ST Crew Cab Silver in Aug. I've gone crazy too. Engine Mods; K&N FIPK Intake, BBK Shorty headers into a custom "y" pipe (no cats) into a single 3 1/2 pipe with a Flowmaster muffler. Diablo tuner with Hemifever custom tune. other Mods; ARE hard Tonneau cover, Tyger running boards, Eagle / Flag hood shield, Tyger wheel flares painted blue Offsets Silver, "USA" third brake light cover, Z-Edge forward/back-up camera, 20x9 Polished Alum. OEM replacement wheels, Blue HEMI tape stripes bed-dr. door and 5.7 for hood, Stainless steel rocker panels and Door Pillar posts. View attachment 129562View attachment 129565

No clue lol I’d hope the engineers at Mopar designed it well.

Lol, I have always been considering this same kit but always wondered if anyone tested how well it seals.

Anyway, it turned out nice, exhaust too

Said I wasn’t going to mod my new truck... well I already ordered all these parts can’t give them back now!!

I ordered the following getting installed next Tuesday:

- Readylift 2.5” leveling kit with the upgraded control arms

- Borla exhaust with black 5” tips

- Mopar cold air intake with the Mopar hood scoop insert

Besides that I’ve just done these minor mods:

- HIDs
- Morimoto vertical fog LEDs
- Recon LED third brake light
- Recon LED plate lights
- Mopar hood bug deflector
- LED reverse lights
- Ram 2500 color matched fender flares
- Deezee Tailgate assist
- RAM sill plates
- MOPAR 20” forged black wheels
- DRL’s enabled
- Ram mudflaps
- Shorty antenna












Will update with photos when I get these goodys installed next week!

Somebody call mod rehab... We have an addiction intervention here. Cure for it is put these mods on my truck or just get me a tonneau cover for it.

Jeremy at Retroshop is a real professional and super nice guy. Definitely recommend him. I’ve had 3 other vendors retrofit headlights for me in the past and he is by far the best I’ve ever dealt with and is great with answering any questions you may have. Very prompt replies and he’s patient.

They weren’t close to 2k.

-I purchased the extra set of OEM lights ($850)
-Did the blackout paint option
- diode dynamics white/amber led switchbacks

And that was it. The most expensive part were the headlights themselves. If I had opted to send mine in it would have been under $1k.
