Been driving mine a lot. Mileage has gone up to nearly 10. And I've been FAR from easy on the gas...
Love these gears
Filled mine up today. Will know in a week or two on the mileage, normally around 9-10

Mine seems to have gone up as well but I'm not sure my odometer is right until I have my speedo calibrated.

Your truck is a 99 right? If so a gear change will not have affected your speedo at all. Only thing that affects the speedo on the 98+ trucks is tires size.

Glad to see more people no longer fearing the gear!! And loving the benefits of the lower gear ratios. By far one of the top mods on my truck and will always be first on my future builds/mod lists. Better mileage and performance? Who can say no to that!! Haha

On another note since I've had lots of time sitting in the couch letting my shoulder and ribs heal this weekend I did some more looking into grill badges for my truck and think I may have come up with a pretty cool idea.
Just need to buy some supplies now and do some testing to make sure this idea will work. Really hoping this works out half as good as I'm picturing it in my head right now!! If it does I'll be sure to post up plenty of pics!! [emoji1]

Is it off from the tires? Because like hemi said, the gears won't change the speedo (pretty sure it's because the exciter ring is on the carrier)

Yeah I've wanted to do it for a while but haven't had the money together to fully commit to it, until I got the install kit at scratch and dent from Summit and 4.88s from eBay. Lol. In total I saved almost $300. Spent just under $200

Since everyone's talking about gearing, I'm running 285/75r16 mud tires. Do yall think it would be worth it to regear? Getting 8.5-9 mpg city now. If so what would yall recommend going to?

In case anyone was wondering where the chief post ***** was yesterday, I have moved out of my parents house and I was also out of town all day yesterday. Girlys house has no Wi-Fi at the moment and cell coverage is spotty. Just wanted to give y'all a heads up.

Lifted my 2014 2500 2" with the Icon kit W/progressive springs and put 35 Nitto G3's on. Also had the stock rims powder coated.

Yeah you guys are right, my speedo is off the same amount as it was before, I tested it with the gps this evening. Which really makes sense when you think about how the computer measures the speed in these trucks.
