I watched a youtube video about the install and it seems to work just fine. I scribed the nut, used the 10mm wrench and turned the nut 9 full revolutions. Seems to be holding. I didn't get it real tight because I didn't want to screw it up.

I put 2 nice gouges into my paint when I was cutting out the stake holder pockets for my pop up bull rings.

I also installed the tailgate weather stripping that came with my tonneau cover. I'm hoping to install some LED bed lights.

It sounds like the spacer thing with the hex bolt wasn't tight enough.

Ordered a Bakflip MX4 tonneau last night, $125 cheaper than before Black Friday. Linex will be done next Saturday, so cover will go on Sunday night or Monday (if I’m home), I hope. Pretty sure you should wait at least 24 hours before clamping or being real rough with Linex.

Oh yea. My DeeZee tailgate assist should arrive today. Hopefully I don’t have any issues with that nut either.

Installed a Gator FX cover, Bedrug Impact Mat and Dee Zee tailgate lift. All went very smooth. But did need to buy extra velcro for the tailgate portion of the Bedrug mat.

Just put 2 coats of Collinite Fleetwax on my hood and lower doors/rocker panels. Hadnt coated that area with OptiCoat because I anticipated using clear bra instead but never got around to it.

Pulled grill and swapped chrome rams head emblem with black oem one. Debadged 1500 amd ram from doors. Now im thinking about lights on grill since theres lotsa room.
