Anything is possible, given enough time and enough money. :)

But if all the rest of the truck is in good shape, fitting it with a crate engine or a rebuild would be easy enough.

The body looks good from the pics. If you've got the time and money I say go for it.

Agree, if the body is in decent shape then just drop a new motor in it and drive on

He's honest about the engine but what is "minor work?"

One man's minor work is another man's.....

^^^ Exactly.

My father in law just had a new 5.9 put in his 2500 and it cost him 5k. Granted that was the dealer doing it and waranty for 100k in 3years.

I personally wouldn't give him $1500 for it unless the rest of the truck was flawless. Just too many 2nd gens still running for $2k-3K. BUT most of them are rusted pretty good. I'd give him $1,000 if it has the 360. Then I'd rebuild it myself BUT I have rebuilt many engines and never stay with stock LOL.
