I know, this has probably been beaten to death here. I've looked at the FAQs, but still don't have a clear, reassuring answer.

Questions:

1 - Can i put a set of Longhorn or Laramie alloy wheels on an SLT?

Yes, both are 18". Yes, both have 8x6.5 lug pattern.

2 - Is there an offset difference between models/wheels?

I asked a Jeep guy (who's owned Rams for decades) about this, he didn't know for sure.

I have the cheap stamped steel w/ chrome plastic and am considering getting a good used set of the alloy wheels (with tires, seems like people sell off the tires - which are crap, I know, but hey, if they work for another year or so, good for me, plus I have a set of decent rims for a new set of Michelins).

Thanks in advance.

I’m nearly 99.99999% that all 4th gen 1500s will switch out. And all 4th 2500s will switch out. Followed by the 3500s switching out with each other along with 2500s. Except the wide-ass 3500.

Yes, you can fit those wheels.

The offsets do vary depending on wheel diameter and width but the differences are small. Stock size info as follows:

Tire: 275/70R18, wheel size: 8Jx18, Offset: +43mm, bolt circle: 8x165.1
Tire: 285/60R20, wheel size: 8Jx20, Offset: +55mm, bolt circle: 8x165.1
