Truck (08 4.7 6spd) had a cylinder 2 misfire, which ended up being caused by a faulty original pcm. Luckily had a spare pcm sitting around that I purchased few years ago to help diagnose another problem, and that fixed the misfire. Now would like to have my original pcm repaired to have another spare on hand. Any recommendations on where to send it?

Thanks…looks like a good spot to buy a reman unit. Do they repair/rebuild as well? Have a working spare pcm now running the truck, and would rather have the original fixed for somewhat irrational reasons. Reviews seem good will give them a call

They send you one with a box to send your old one back.

IF your vehicle has a Standard Transmission,
DO NOT send your ECM/PCM in to have it replaced or Repaired,
put it on your top shelf

All of those companies will send you back a unit for an Automatic & it will never work in place of a Standard Stick unit
& some how they lose the one that you sent in

IF you do send a unit in, write down every bit of information on your original unit, take a picture with your cell phone.

IF you take a chance & send in your Standard Shift Unit to be repaired, get it in writing that they will not switch it out, that the original is the only one that you will accept

I would have good local mechanic look at the Unit & if they can, have them record what your unit is doing that is causing your issue, maybe there is a way to FREEZE FRAME the info

Interesting…flashmasters does list two different 4.7 MT pcm part numbers, and one of them does match mine (4373). I was able to get the spare pcm from my local mechanic a few years ago for troubleshooting…he had a source I guess, and seems to be working just fine. But given my truck config was one year only, I have been wondering how my pcm seems so readily available.

That being said would be nice to find someone reputable to repair my original instead of doing an exchange.
