I just traded my 2016 that had a lifetime maxcare, so it didn’t keep me out of the showroom, unfortunately LOL. I only used it 3 times-once for a rental while the repair was still under the 3/36, once for p0463 , and once for p0463 and p0440 CELs. Dealer replaced the fuel pump and different fuel level sensors, all covered under the Maxcare.

Don’t forget you can ask for a pro-rated refund right before you sell/trade. I got $923.00 back on mine. The request has to be made through the dealer that sold you the plan.

I would buy a lifetime maxcare in a heartbeat on my 2021 if I could. Best now is 8/125K which costs more than the lifetime did, but it is transferable.

I have the lifetime warranty on my 2014 RCSB. I've used it twice so far.... fine print does say after 7 yrs or so many miles they can buy the vehicle instead of repairing it if the repair costs more then the value of the truck.
Also expires at 999,999 miles

Ive avoided sitting in any 5th gen. Just too darn tempting (still not a fan of the front-end looks, but the interiors make me want to shell out for a new truck).

don’t do it… It’s a trap! I wouldn’t even look at the outside of them… Especially if yours is in for service. That’s what happened to me my 2016 went away and a 2020 rebel took its place. I am paying dearly for it, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I bought the next best thing warranty from Ziegler. Seven years with unlimited mileage for $2900. I drive 35,000 miles a year so I will likely be using it.

Bought an extended 100,000 mile warranty on 2021 Longhorn as it’s filled with electronics. Probably my last new vehicle purchase as we keep’em & I’m a senior citizen

We got the Maxcare Lifetime for my wife's Jeep Cherokee Limited 2016 when we bought it new. Negotiated the price of it down to 2100 US dollars....
we plan on keeping the jeep as long as we can, my wife loves it. Used it once so far, on a start stop component. Really got it because of potential transmission issues with the ZF 9 speed. Fortunately, FCA seems to have been able to get a handle on the programming of them. On my 2019 2500 bighorn I went with the 6 year 60K Maxcare Bumper to Bumper package. Got it right here on this Forum from a guy. Super cheap price, and since I only drive the truck about 5 or 6 K a year it will be perfect for me.... Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.... just like my rifle!

I guess I was one of the last ones able to buy the lifetime Mopar MVP warranty when I bought my 2018 but so far, I haven’t had to use it yet but I’ll be using it here real soon because my 8.4 Uconnect radio is falling victim to that known problem of the screen de-lamination.

But I guess that’s awful interesting about the buyback program or whatever it is when whatever repair would cost more than the worth of the truck because being that Ibaby my truck, don’t hardly drive it at all and all that, my originally $57,000 2018 ram 1500 4 x 4 Limited has a long way to go before any repair would out-cost the worth of the truck.

When this truck comes to 10 years old, it may have a little bit more miles on it than my last truck had but it should still be worth a whole lot more than the $14,000 I got out of my old 2008 ram 1500 4 x 4 Laramie Hemi when I sold it but it only had about 70,000 miles on it close to it’s 10th birthday.

I would’ve gotten a lot more out of it but since Carfax said it was in an accident with reported frame damage from either the first or second owner, private party was about what I got for it, dealer sale was maybe 16 and trade-in was only 10.5 to 11,000.

I bought my truck in March 2014 and shortly after paid $2250 for the Lifetime MaxCare. I'm at 107K miles and have no plans to sell anytime soon.

I think it's been 2-3 years since they stopped offering the Lifetime plans. If I remember correctly, they never offered them on diesels.

I'm wondering how many people still have one going and are you using it? I just made an appointment for an evaporator leak CEL today so it looks like I'm going to get some more benefit. So far I'm at about $7500 worth of repairs done out of factory warranty. My dealer admitted to me that FCA is pretty sorry that they offered those because they lose their ass on people that keep their vehicles and keep it going (I'm firmly planted in that group).

PLEASE, NO WARRANTY BASHING OR FEASABILITY TALK - Go fight it out on one of 1000 other threads on the subject. We've all read it before - warranty companies are in it to make money, put the money in your IRA, warranties are a bad deal, etc, etc, etc.
I have one on my 2015 Dodge Durango. It has been fantastic as I have had over $10K in work done. Love the SUV but man it has a ton of issues.

I have the lifetime on my '14 with 52k miles on it now. I had exhaust manifold studs replaced, and just recently a new driveshaft and support bearing for my $100 deductible each incident. Love this truck and plan to keep it for a good while with this coverage.

If you are going to keep the vehicle like we do, cheap insurance.

I have it on a 2009 Town and Country Limited with 206,000 miles. All repairs have more than paid the price.

I have it on a 2011 Challenger R/T with 75,000 miles, used it some.

I have it on a 2018 Ram 2500 Long Horn Crew Cab 8' bed with 32,000 miles. Haven't used it yet.

Each $100 deduct. The first one we bought on line for a good price. The other two we told the dealer price matched the online price.

I have the MaxCare lifetime warranty on my 2013 2500 5.7; 60,000 miles on it now. Paid nearly $3500 for the MaxCare and am about $1k or so away from breaking even. I keep my rigs 15-20 years and will likely get my moneys worth at some point. Can't see having a repair exceed book value for a while yet. Wonder how many people have had that happen to them? One thing about warranties, when you buy one you're betting something is going to break and when FCA is selling them, they're betting you're not. They're going to make money based on the statistics of repair costs over time. So, in theory, it doesn't make sense to have one unless you keep your rig a long time. Would be interesting to see FCA's numbers on this. Were they really losing money on the warranty itself or did they find it was turning short term owners into long term owners which is bad for selling new rigs?

I have it on my '14 1500 BH with 90k. Haven't used it yet. I used to drive 500 a week, but now with Covid I will likely WFH until I retire in 5 years. With 4 kids from 7 to 12, there's lots of opportunity to pass this truck down, so as long as it moves, it will be in the garage for a long time to come.

Had I known they were going to cancel this program, I would have bought a 2500. Since I can no longer get it, I have delayed a 2500 upgrade, so in my case, cancelling the program has cost them a sale.

I have it on my 2014 Big Horn 4x4 now with 30,000 miles.
Had to use it once. Cost me 1,900 at the time. I
hope to drive this beast another 15 years!
