Will a 2006 Big Horn front door fit a 2005 Big Horn?

Hi there, first time poster here. I own a black 2005 Ram Big Horn quad cab that has some damage to the drivers side front door. The local yard has a front driver side door from a 2006 black Big Horn quad cab. Would this be an easy swap? I’m thinking the paint may not match up perfectly, but it’s gotta look better than the huge dent I currently have. I’m just wanting to make sure that the trim lines up on the exterior and the interior control panel would swap from my door to the 2006 and function. Thanks in advance for any input

Any good salvage/wreck/parts yard should be able to easily tell you what years will interchange with your truck with just a few click of their mouse....

If you have access to the that you are considering buying.

ALWAYS Measure both your door & the donor door at the crease towards the door bottom & again at the bottom of the window glass.

Chances are Dodge Ram Front Doors in every series, 1500, 2500, 3500, from 2003 to 2008 are the same, as long as that vehicle has 4 door handles, you can also add the 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 to that group.

some years have 4 body styles
Standard Cab, 2 doors
Quad Cab, may have 2 or 4 door handles, sometimes called a Club Cab
Crew Cab, has a larger cab
Mega Cab, has the largest cab of all

Generation 4 Ram trucks have all front doors the same size
other Generations doors may all be different widths

It'll interchange. 2002/08 body style, 3rd Gen Dodge RAM 1500/2500/3500 Quadcabs have the same body panels with a minor grill/headlight (front fascia) change after the 2005 model year for the 2006-2008 years.

Also to note, the regular cab doors from those year models 2002-2008 are abit "longer" and will not fit the "four-door" body styled Dodge RAM 1500/2500/3500.

Thanks for the info! I’m going to go look at it tomorrow and will keep you updated. I’m pretty sure the interior panel will fit just fine. Not sure if the paint will match up exactly, but I’m sure it will look better than the door now. Plus, it will function better… the damaged door has letting air in and loud!!

Be careful, the 2002 2500 was a Gen 2 mechanically and the headlights and hood didn't upgrade like the 1500 did that year. Not sure if the doors would swap from a 2003 2500.
