I am wondering if you can fit a 35'' tire under the truck to use as a spare if needed. We are about to drive from Alabama To Alaska and will not have room in the bed for a spare. I know If I had too I could put the donut on there and get to where I need to go, but once we hit BC and the Yukon where there is nothing for hundreds of mile I am not sure if this would be the smartest thing.

What type of Rim did you run with the tire for the spare??

On my 03 it was a steel 17" spare run with 35 mounted and my 13 was a bighorn 20" with 35.12.5.20 nitro mud grappler. It was heavy and large. Never had an issue. I had the one on my 03 for 6 years.

Not to be nosey but this must be a relocation? That sure does not seem like a vacation road trip. Would you enter Canada through Montana. Curious about your route as I'm kind of a road trip/geography/atlas geek.

Holy ****, that's a drive.
You can say that again!

**** OP, that's almost half the kms I have on my truck! (Converts to 9074 kms) How long are you going to do the trip in? You should make a thread up for trip! That would be cool lol

Since there is no way for me to fit 37s under the bed, I wish there was like a tool box you can hang underneath instead of a spare tire. Thatd be cool.

Ft Wainwright. I am finishing the UH-60 Blackhawk course right now and then we are on our way.

I was previously stationed in Ft Lewis Washington so we plan on stopping back in Seattle to see a few friends and fly their airplanes for a few days.

As far as the route goes we are planning on taking the "Inside Passage Route" that north to alaska already has planned (LINK). It will take alot of pre planning but should be an adventure.

Anyone have an idea how many miles I should Expect out of My 35'' Mud Terrains?

My Ram only has 2500 miles on it! By the time we get there it will be close to 9,000 when all said and done.

As Far as the write up goes I think I might, that would be pretty cool. Now I just have to Remember to take alot of pictures!!

My next guess would have been Rucker to Wainwright :D

We did Hulburt field in Florida to Elmendorf in the late 90's. What an amazing trip you have ahead of you.

Yes a 35x12.5 will fit under the bed. I have one under my truck for the same reason albeit a shorter trip. I bought a used spare rim from an older truck and mounted a used 35 all together for 60$. its close but it fits and doesnt touch the exhaust
