I'm thinking about upgrading to the Z36 brake package and I'm wondering how they are with brake dust. I keep my truck really clean and brake dust drives me crazy. Any feedback from someone running the Z36's would be greatly appreciated.

I second this if you are wanting to spend the money. I just didn't have the extra coin or Nick would have taken more of my money

I have the Z36 rotor and pad package on my wife’s 2015 Wrangler. Great stopping power even with oversized tires, little to no dust, and they seem to be very resistant to rust and corrosion. Very happy with them. Also had them on my 2013 Ram. No complaints either. My current Ram will probably get the same setup when the time comes, right now she only has 20k miles so is still running her factory gear.

I had the Z36 on my Commander Hemi Limited. Good package not too bad on the dust and a definite upgrade in stopping power. My truck will most likely get the same treatment when the time comes.

Pretty satisfied with the Akebono Pro Act ceramic pads that I put on a couple months ago. Really low dust compared to whatever was on it before, and solid braking.

I had the Z36 package front and rear on my 2013 2500. Brake dust build up was average to slightly higher than the OE pads, Stopping power was very impressive when the pads/rotors were new but diminished as mileage increased. As noted in an earlier post they rotors seem to be more rust resistant than OE. I should also note that I tow heavy around 16k 5th wheel. Overall for the money invested I would rate the Z36 brake package as money well spent. The only thing I have to compare them to is OE from a parts store (NAPA) and when I originally did the brake job it was actually the less expensive route to take. I purchased the front and rear Z36 package from Rock Auto last year.

I've had my front set on for about 25k miles (9months) now and i love them! Great stopping power, esp at highway speeds!

No rusting of the rotors at all yet.
I haven't noticed any extra brake dust, but my truck stays pretty dirty all the time...

I've had mine for about 2 years and love them. I also get very little brake dust and would recommend them to anyone wanting to upgrade their brake system. And, I haven't noticed any rust either.

Don't have this dust problem you speak of.
This was a week after installation.
