Coming 3/11/13 is the new Mufflex Resonance Cancellation Pipe Kit.

PreOrder Here

Mufflex Resonance Cancellation Kit fits 2009 to Present Dodge Ram 1500 Mufflex 4.7 & 5.7 Hemi Muffler /Exhaust. This is a do it yourself kit for the 2009 to Present Dodge 1500 4.7 & 5.7 Hemi truck made from 409 stainless steel. This resonance cancellation pipe does not effect exhaust flow, sound or power just eliminates in cab resonance. Installation will require a small section of factory pipe being removed before your Mufflex Retrofit Kit. Installs in approx. 45 min with typical tools you have at home.

This design works using the Helmholtz Resonance System.

Helmholtz resonance finds application in internal combustion engines (see airbox), subwoofers and acoustics. Intake systems have been described as 'Helmholtz Systems' have been used in the Chrysler V10 engine built for both the Dodge Viper and the Ram pickup truck, and several of the Buell tube-frame series of motorcycles.

Hahaha... Funny, I posted this idea up a couple of months ago! So this will fit inline with my mufflex14 setup?

Yes, you will need to cut a small section of the factory pipe out just before the Mufflex.

It allows sound waves (the annoying standing waves that cause resonance) to travel up into the tube, which is capped off. Basically, the hope is that it will cancel out the annoying drone by reflecting and absorbing standing waves.

I wonder how it would work with the muffler delete and no resonators.

Only one way to find out! :-D
