Tired of that kid on the bicycle out racing you, that Ecoboost leaving you in the dust?

Then it is time to get to work :buffer: :superhack:

It is a little easier than it looks.

Try performing a pedal to throttle body calibration.

1. Turn your key to the on position but do not start the vehicle.

2. Let the truck cycle through the display tests on you dash and wait till finished, oil and engine light may remain on, but that's ok.

3. Use your hand (better than your foot), then "slowly" depress your accelerator pedal down to the floor.

4. Hold for a few seconds.

5. Then "slowly" release the pedal back to its normal position.

6. Turn the key to the off position.

After completed take it out for a spin and see if you feel a difference in response from your throttle inputs. You won't be burning tires for a thousand feet and that Eco may still beat you (you won't be as far behind) but you should have a better driving experience.

You should hopefully see some improvement, heck you might even see some problems you were blaming on the MDS disappear.

Many people have tried this and had an improvement in reponse, but if your truck was running fine I wouldn't expect to see much of a change, but who knows.

I can't qualify this as I haven't tried it, but one individual said to go 3/4 of the way down and then back, gave him even more response in the first 3/4 of the pedal. Have no idea about the last 1/4.

Let us know how it worked we would all love the feed back, good or eh!

Let us know either way if this has helped you.

That is precisely how you perform the throttle calibration if you have a scan tool to do it. Without, it is going to do nothing.

Must be the placebo effect then.

A lot of people have tried it and as they said, it worked.

This is how many adaptive automatic transmissions get reset (forget what they have learned of driver's habits).

I had a 2005 E55 AMG that I did this on all the time back in the day.
