I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. Regular cab, RWD, manual, 4.7L engine. My left front brake was squealing constantly so I checked it and the pad had worn a gouge into the rotor. Ordered 4 new rotors and pads. I took off the left front caliper and the boot was torn. Ordered new calipers.
Put new rotors, calipers and pads on. Bled the system. No brake pedal. Bled the system again. Still no pedal.
Put new reservoir and master cylinder on. Bled system again. Had to refill reservoir twice doing this. Still no pedal. Tried the electronic reset. Says system is not supported. Checked brake hoses, all are solid. Still no pedal. No leaks anywhere.
I can get it back but have to pump it up to get it. About three inches of play before pedal starts to feel stiff. Let sit for a couple of seconds and no pedal again.
Looking for any and all ideas, suggestions on next step. Trying to avoid paying someone $2500 to turn one screw or kick a tire and get everything back. Haha!
