My truck will have 11" lift on 38s. Won't be able to reach up to access the ramboxes from the ground anyway. Plus it's gonna cost me a few grand. Should i just keep my stock bed, or get the ram box?

I have the ram box on my Rebel. I love it. However for your application I’m not sure they will make sense. Unless you have so kind of step bar with the 3rd step for the bed. But even then you won’t be able to reach the tailgate side.

Why did you want the ram box in the first place?

Thanks man, i am now feeling the exact same way. Seems it would be useless not being able to reach up and be able to get things out of them.
Originally i wanted the rambox to hold beer as a cooler, and hold tools and riding gear. But I can always use a cooler, and keep tools under my rear seat. Leaning towards keeping my stock bed.

Swingcase seems like a better option for you. When u want tools and stuff in it put it in with your tools or gear. When you don’t it’s not taking up space as it quickly and easily removable. Also even if you get two it’s $400 vs $2500.

Rambox full of beer and ice, now that sounds nice!

I would kill for extra storage, I regularly haul my family so my under seat storage is at max capacity.

I think a bed canopy is a good option over ram box, you can then have multiple sources of storage in the bed with a "sense" of security and protected from the elements.

Just a thought as I haven't used a ram box before, and I like the look of a big lift and canopy combo

Not gonna lie, it was number one one my list...but if I cant reach in and grab a cold one, it's kinda pointless. Lok

I wish I had rambox. My next truck will have it! If it were me I’d still get. I would just utilize wheel to wheel side steps and the rear tire to stand on. You can always open the rear door or roll the window down if you need to grab onto something for leverage.

Thanks man, never thought of these ideas!

Youve done a shload of work on your Ram. Lots of new parts and redoing/upgrading. Just think that the Ram boxes are more of a novelty. Have you looked at the under-rail swing boxes? Gives you the compartmented storage but wont mess up the body lines...

Agree on the gears. That swap woukd seriously serve you well vs a couple boxes built into the bed. That change would give you more of a smile
