What’s the reasoning for sanding it?Maybe taking a full lock U-turn and hitting a bump just grazes it. I would jack that tire up have a helper spin the wheel while you hold a piece of 80 grit sandpaper on the axle.

Its already not touching anymore, at least on rest. The groove has already been worn. No axle movement. If you run sand paper on it that should give you the clearance needed. Its barely touching and will stop it from hitting in the future. I would also take a little black paint and touch up the coil over. They are zinc and clear coated, Fox recommends we wax them with non abrasive automotive wax
Also are you able to move the axle at all? might be a bearing issue allowing it to move. See if there is any wiggle

Oh so coat the worn spot on the aluminum? Got it.
Well I went from 37’s to the 325’s so I wanted to keep that same tire:fender gap ratio so I went down about 2” at each corner. I kinda miss being up high on 37’s but I like the new height. I’m still too tall to fit in the garage though, I’m at 43-1/2” front and 44-1/4” rear and I think the sharkfin was 84-3/4. I think our suspension height differences are due to the 325’s being a little taller.
What is the height of your garage door 84”?
Yes, you may be ok with the 35’s but these 325’s measure 34.5 on the truck so it’s like an inch higher. After reading your measurements I went out and measured mine with a level to make sure. It’s no big deal though, my goal was just to run a little smaller tire than the big 37’s
Glad to hear I knew they rode good before. The Fox are quite impressive they have surpassed the expectations I had of them. I’m hoping to log some miles on them this weekend.
