Power fold in mirrors

I’m going to swap out the tow mirrors for sport mirrors.
I’m wondering how can I modify the mirrors to power fold in?

I just did that recently except in reverse. I went to tow mirrors. You will need the left and right door modules and the driver side door switch. I had parts and prices in my post but I cant find it now. I will see if I can post again with the parts. You wont need the support brackets as you are going the opposite. You will also need to activate the codes for the power mirror present.

But on a Cummins forum a member told me that is only possible when you get sport mirrors from a 2500 sport package ?
Fill me on that?

The mirror itself need to be power folding. It doesn’t matter if it’s a tow mirror, sport mirror, or whatever. THEN, if your truck did not come factory with power fold mirrors, like mentioned above, you’ll need to get the driver and passenger side door modules and the driver door switch. You’ll have to activate them with the alfaobd, or the dealer will have to add the sales code. The dealer will only be able to do it if your truck is a trim level that offered power folding mirrors as an option.

Yes, 1 master switch-on your driver side. Double check part number, you should only have 1 plug on the back.

Just so someone doesn’t come by and take this literally- for the four door rams, 13-15 switch connectors are different than the 16-19s. It’s only the regular cab switches that are the same.

Yes sir, that’s me. Now that you have the mirrors, you need that master door switch and the door modules that stimpy433 posted earlier. One way or another, you need to have the power fold feature enabled. AlfaOBD is the easiest. Everything you need to know about it is in the very first post of this thread- https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/
In that post, there is also a known working list that tells you how to enable the power fold feature and the puddle lamps and turn signals. PM me if you have any questions.

Depending on your trim level, the dealer may or may not even be able to add the proper codes. The easiest and cheapest way tends to be AlphaOBD, and you can do so much more with it.

Only, yeah idk about the 4 door rams, Yes it's only the 2 door trucks that I'm talking about.
