I'm looking to upgrade to power fold tow mirrors and was wondering if anyone has used the Top Gear Autosport power fold tow mirrors? They are about $300-400 cheaper that the OEM mirrors. I've got a 2019 1500 with manual fold tow mirrors currently.

Only concern is if the non-oem will connect with AlphaOBD after you install. Maybe check with Benny at All Mopar Parts in vendor section. He might be able to help you get closer in price so you can go oem. Always difficult to get help on aftermarket parts if no one has used them before. Good luck.

I've had success using aftermarket tow mirrors on my 2012 2500, but you have to make sure that whatever option the mirrors have is exactly what the truck already has. Anything more than that (like power folding on a non-power folding truck) and those options just won't work unless you can enable them.

Careful with that... not all are created equal. I'd suggest a quality aftermarket set if necessary. Another important consideration is that tow mirrors require a backing plate that mounts in the door. The stock sport mirrors don't have that. You can physically install without it, but it can cause some unwanted vibrations in the mirrors and can sometimes make it more difficult to see.

150$ on Amazon warehouse deals for the regular TOW with LEDs and AlfaODB to program them. MY12 had the door module already there. it was plug and play.

I have the reinforcement bracket on one truck, and another truck without it, both with cheap aftermarket mirrors. It does help a little with mirror shake but not enough difference that I feel like spending the $50 and effort to do it on the other truck, lol.

Thanks for the input, guys. I currently have manual fold tow mirrors, so it has the backing plates. I'll see what Benny can do for me. I am planning on using Alfa OBD to program the new door modules to be power fold.

Did you end up getting the Topgear mirrors? and if so what do you think of them? I'm considering these for my 2021. I'll lose the blind spot monitoring, but I dont rely on that anyway, as I prefer to actually see what's next to me in the mirror.
