How much for the brake setup? I want that same look, just seems to be crazy expensive.

Kinda pricey, 855.00, but has a 135.00 dollar refundable core deposit attached.....so 720.00 for a the whole kit. I just need to send back the rotors and calipers in the Powerstop boxes and they’ll mail me a check. Picked up the brakes at carid.com.

Last night while at work I picked out my wheel and tire set up I’m hoping to purchase in a few months.

This morning I installed LED lights in the low beams plus changed the settings in AlfaOBD, tonight I’ll get them aligned. Fogs will be here tomorrow and maybe by this weekend I’ll order the highs.

In anticipation of installing the new ham radio later this week I started running the wiring. Charge Guard in the engine compartment running to a power distribution box inside the radio console on the floor. Once everything installed I will tidy up the wiring.

Charge Guard is set for 15 minutes so it will detect when the engine is running and activate the relay sending power to the electronics. Once the engine is shut off it will keep everything powered for what ever predetermined time before shutting off.

Cool, didnt go that far with my radio, just wired direct to battery and set the auto shutoff on the radio. They don't use much power when not transmitting. What kind of radio are you installing?

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me.
Last week, I replaced the upper ball joints that came installed in the Ready Lift upper control arms. The boots split open and the grease was leaking out.

Also, the passenger side strut was leaking so I replaced both sides with OEM struts. When I installed the Ready Lift 4” level kit, I didn’t plan on having to replace the struts but had to go buy some at a local parts store in a hurry. All that was available were Monroe ready struts (complete assembly) They’re junk and lasted a year like I hesitantly expected.
Then, I took it to the dealer for an alignment.

This past weekend, I scraped all the rust off that was all over my Westin step bars. I contacted Westin to try to get them replaced under warranty but all I got from them was crickets. The rust was bubbling up under the paint and all around the welds. I also ordered a new hardware & bracket kit because the old ones looked like they came off the Titanic.

I’m no genius, but the extent of the rust under the paint and around the welds tells me it was a defective paint job. I have to assume they’re using cheap Chinese steel to make their stuff also. If they had been damaged and paint was scraped off, etc then I’d expect them to get some rust on them. But, that wasn’t the case. Anyway, I took it upon myself to scrape & sand and coat them heavily with Rustoleum Rust Reformer. After the coats dried, I sprayed a top coat of Rustoleum Bed Liner spray. They turned out pretty good I think. Hopefully it holds up. I also coated the new brackets in Rust Reformer as a preventative measure.

After that, I replaced the front 4WD actuator. 4 low was a no-go. It would shift into 4WD lock fine, but not 4 low. All
fixed now. While I was under there, I think I discovered that either my power steering lines are leaking, or, the rack & pinion is leaking. Sigh. I’ll take a closer look this weekend.

No rest for the wicked.

Time for some maintenance on my 2018. I put about 14K miles a year on it, so I should be good for another year. Yay!

Oil Change:

And then I said what the heck, time to upgrade the fuel filter. Went with kit from dieselfuelfilterkits. I still replaced the front filter also, can't have too clean of fuel I guess.

Glad to see someone else uses Baldwin filters. Those or Lubefiner are all I use on my truck. Mainly due to the killer deal I get on them through work. Lol

Went on a road trip from Houston to Lubbock Texas, watched the mileage roll to 17k on the way up and watched it roll to 18k on the way back. Truck drove great, 90mph seems to be the sweet spot :sad72:

That's one hell of a drive. I've driven from Lubbock to College Station and back a few times. Hopefully it wasn't just a weekend trip.

My brother tried to change my tire size with his OBD2 scanner, speedo stopped working, traction control threw a code, 2 days later my ABS threw a code, had to take it to the dealership to clear it all and reset my factory settings, all is well now. Glad I didn’t fudge anything up. Dealership was cool about it, dido t try to replace anything, just had to recalibrate the abs module to the traction control, all codes clear truck back to normal!!!!
