So, between taxes and some backpay that is owed to me, combined with the itch to put some smaller upgrades into my new toy, looking to put some of my hard earned play money to good use!

I've read through the PAGES and PAGES of the under $100 mods thread, as well as the newer under $300 thread. But, if you had a grand or so burning a hole in your pocket, what would you spend it on?

Already have a tailgate assist waiting for a break in the weather to install. Not in the market for new shoes quite yet...

So, what say you? Somebody drops $1000 in your hand to spend on your truck, what are you spending it on?

If it were me I'd save it for bigger mods as I've got all that already.

What's your preferance speed or looks? If speed is your preference a 75 shot of nitrous fits in that 1,000 dollar budget, and will turn it into a tire roasting toy,lol

Definitely more of a looks type fella...

Speed is nice and all, don't get me wrong, but speed=money! Both upfront and longterm, as far as upkeep/replacement...

I'm definitely more of a looks/style/comfort type, but not opposed to smaller projects that kinda help with both. Been considering throwing a cold air intake on there, both for a little bump in performance, but also makes the engine compartment look a little cleaner, if that makes any sense...

Tint, tuner and intake.

Tint is definitely on my short list, and a good CAI is also something I've been looking a little into.

Not smart enough on the whole tune market quite yet to decide if that's something I'm looking to tackle quite yet...

Just save the money for when you need new rubber. I don't know how many miles you got on her but if your still rolling on the factory Goodyears your going to want new tires sooner rather than later. I replaced mine around 26K miles because the wet weather traction was terrible. Ditto on the tuner.

A tuner, intake and exhaust:

Diablosport 8321-R ECU swap kit

Vararam Air Grabber

Muffler swap/delete (I'm running a Mufflex DOD-M80 delete)

Or suspension stuff:

2/4 lowering kit or levelling kit

Core4x4 rear control arms

Maybe some shocks if you have money left over.

Just my opinion

I bought her used about a month ago, with 21k miles, and they had brand new shoes put on her real recent, so I'm good there for awhile... but yea, I would agree if they were still the factory tires, since those don't usually come with the full complement of tread a normal tire does...

CAI is something I've been reading up on, as far as which style seems to be the way to go (Vararam vs K&N/S&B style), so really leaning towards the winner of that "competition" making the cut.

As far as a tuner/muffler delete, that might have to wait a good while. Had to buy an extended warranty (long story) that's basically a new factory warranty. Got it for 4 years/50k miles, so I have 49k+ remaining. A tune probably wouldn't be a good idea, from what I've read, as much as I would prefer to mess around with one... I like the ideas though, maybe one of these days!

Ain't nothing wrong with boring!

I'm looking for ideas that provide good bang for the buck, in terms of quality/comfort, and if they add something performance or fuel economy related too, then that's a bonus!

My trim level came with heated seats thankfully, so I'm good there... visor strip? You talking about the tint stripe across the top of the windshield? Wouldn't be opposed to that, so think I'll add that to the list of possibilities...

Yep the tinted strip. I'm pretty much where I want to be. Maybe a pedal commander, softtopper, sliding rear window ,not worth the expense to me. That's about it.

That's a good feeling, having her where you're content!

I don't have any crazy goals like tuned/muffler delete/etc, definitely not anytime soon anyways, so where you're at is where I'm trying to get. Happy with the look and ride as I get from point A to B...

Pedal Commander is also something that has caught my eye as I've read up more on the idea, so that's also a possibility...

Not knowing how your seats fold...I would look at doing the mods that allow your back seats to lay completely flat. Better speakers, amp. Magnaflow exhaust. Pedal Commander.
