At least you guys got your Homelink to connect to your garage door opener.....I can't even get mine to do anything and following the instructions to the letter.

I was also told that if there are LED light bulbs in the opener that they could possibly cause interference with setting up the Homelink in the vehicle....which is odd, because the manufacturer remote works fine with the LED bulbs in the opener. (Chamberlain garage door opener).

Mines a Chamberlain as well.
Zero issues programming any other vehicle and getting it to work. With the Ram, homelink programs fine then decides when to work or to give me the shaft or not when I push the button.

Mine seems to act up only in the afternoon. It does not fail to work in the winter time oddly enough. I chalked it up to the way the sun was or something, but that just doesn't make sense. I have not had the truck long enough to see if it works better this upcoming winter. There should be some type of reason this seems to be a common issue.

My 2016 ram is doing the same thing, seems to be getting worse. I have noticed that when my homelink will not transmit there is no message on my dash message board. When it works properly the dashboard reads to correspond to the button pushed, like (CHANNEL 1 TRANSMITTING). has anyone else noticed this? . Dealer tells me they can't find anything wrong.

Mine always works to open the door to get out of the garage but 50% of the time after I'm out it won't close the door. I have to keep the regular remote in the console, what a pia. Alway works coming home?????????

My 2011 occasionally does this, but it's rare. My 2017 works decent so far, but it has a much shorter range and requires a few tries if I'm not right in front of the garage.

I found that I had to get a different remote for my garage doors and then pair to that one. The one I had wouldn't pair up, but the larger lift master and chamberlain remotes paired up fine. Not sure why. The one that didn't pair was a keychain style. It worked fine to open the door, but for some reason my homelink didn't like the signal.

I have this exact problem on my '16 Rebel. Dug around on the forum but seems like no one has a dealer solution (but I did see where FCA acknowledged the problem happens). Any real dealer solution updates from anyone? My 3/36 expires in 500 miles....making a list of "fix it" items (not much really.....good truck).

I agree with Irongoats.
Monted mine on center console near right knee and under gear shift...if that makes sense.
Going to use the Homelink buttons for attack mode weaponry as a prep for invasion on US soil. Still working on it...

Same thing in my 18. Sometimes I am sitting in front of the garage door in the truck for a couple minutes repeatedly pushing the button and nothing happens.

Mine does the very same thing, they'll work sometimes other times nothing. Reprogramming them doesn't help. However, the Chamberlain remotes also end up being intermittent sometimes as well. Yet the wireless remote opener the kids use which is attached next to the garage door itself works 100% of the time.

I'm wondering if this is simply an issue of electrical interference, quite possibly because I switched from analogue bulbs to led bulbs in the overhead console, the lights in the headliner and the CHMSL cargo/brake light, and the fact that I back in to the driveway, so the homelink must get thru all the possible electrical interference before even getting thru the garage door to the opener.

I wish there was a method of making/adding some sort of extender for the homelink signal generator. I would give that a try in a heartbeat.

Mine just refused to work two days ago. Working today. Never had this happen in other cars.

Mine also has an intermittent screw up. Maybe I'll program all 3 buttons and just press them all.

I narrowed mine down to be a heat problem. Works in the morning or on cold days and fails to work coming home after sitting in a parking lot. I had the dealer replace it under my extended warranty, but I need to still program it to see if anything was fixed.

Mine is doing the same thing. ****** me off to pay this much for a vehicle and it doesn't work as advertised and can't be fixed. I've never had that with another vehicle.
