New to the Alfa app. I've searched this thread and can't find anything. How do you check for/clear fault codes? Thanks in advance.

View faults and status log.

You have to do that for each module you connect to. It will not check all modules when you click on the "View Faults", only the one module you are connected to.

Speaking of mirrors... haven't read the thread in a while so got caught up and didn't see it - but seems like it's all lights and keys lately .

Was there ever a fix/solution to auto fold the mirrors with Alfa?

I was trying to find on the forum how do fix my ambient temp sensor issue after upgrading from the standard mirror to newer mirrors with the led turn signals.

I was able to configure the mirror turn signals and global down and up settings for the windows.

But for the life of me I still have a -40 reading and can't seam to get rid of it and my alfa isnt reading any error codes but displaying a engine light, I should have gotten a u110e code but nothing so

There is no way to do this with Alpha or any other programing tool. There is no option in the truck's software to turn on. The only thing that can currently do auto-fold is the Tazer unit and you have to leave it hooked up all of the time for it to work.

When it comes to changing the connector IO D PIN is that something I could configure in the app or do I physically have to make these pin changes on the connector?

That is the actual setting name in AlfaOBD that needs to be changed, not physical wires. The BCM is being told not to use that input anymore because the driver door module is going to handle it now.

All you need to do is change those two settings. Your original basic mirrors used wires for the ambient temperature sensor that went straight to the BCM, and the BCM received the sensor data. Once you changed to the new mirrors, they contained their own temp sensor wires that plug into the door module with those two connectors. That’s why one setting tells the door module (DCM) to start receiving temp sensor info, and the other tells the BCM to shut off it’s temp sensor input because that wire is now an open circuit.

Here is the current wiring set up on the new mirrors, and the strange thing is that the places we're the OEM standard mirrors had the amb temp sensor connected aren't in use in the new mirrors connector

7th one up from the bottom. What year are those mirrors. Is there a temp sensor in the driver side mirror arm?

I have it set to not present, and im not sure which model year this is but im sure it's not 2019 or newer, my factory 2016 mirrors had it in the driver mirror just below where you would find the puddle light. But on these newer ones they don't have it on either side. My guess is that the ram these came from must have the feature built into the DCM (door control module )

They must be from a 2009-2012, so there’s no outside temp sensor at all now.

Have had no success trying to code a new key fob. When I purchased my truck it only came with one, I then purchased a key fob from Amazon, and the AlfaOBD. I was able to get my truck's maintenance code from the dealer but every time I try to program the new key fob I get "Error Failed". My phone communicates properly with the truck, any one have steps how to do this?

At the beginning of this thread it states that supported years are 2013-2018 so am I correct to assume there is something different about the gen.4 2019 Ram classic Big Horn 4x4?
