A problem I've had with my 2004 1500 4x4 is wind drag noise at my door jams. Any ideas how to reduce/Eliminate? Thanks

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread but wanted to share my experience. I tried this with some 3/8in foam backer rod and the problems I had were that the rod would tear after pulling it about 18-20 inches. This was with a gratuitous amount of lube, too.
Is there a similar product to foam backer rods that have a semi-solid core, or a brand that's more "sturdy"?

What do you mean pulling it?
Are you pulling it into the other seal? If so, just put it behind the other seal, if that makes sense. It just tucks behind it.
If you need a picture of what I mean, let me know and I'll snap one.
Hey there @KyleW2 - If you could snap a picture that would be helpful. I was trying to push/pull the foam backer through the inside of the seal. Like, the hollow cavity of it.
Wow, I'm dumb. Here I've been trying to run the backer rod inside the seal. I've got copious amounts of rubber cement and 3/8in backer rod, I'll install it the way you've done it.
