Both codes are *circuit* codes relating to the fuel pressure sensor. While a circuit code is sometimes triggered by a defective sensor just replacing the sensor and crossing the fingers that it fixes it is often futile. I don't know the layout of the wiring harness but I doubt the shop replaced...
Ah the classic "parts cannon".... Clearly the dealership is incompetent, they can't even change an air filter without screwing it up so their "diagnostics" isn't worth the electrons it's stored in. What's the likelihood all 4 O2 sensors develop an issue at the same time ?
As already suggested...
P2122 is a manufacturer specific code, and if you add "RAM" or "Dodge" to your google search it will point to the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP). Issues with the TPS will throw codes in the P0XXX range, and possibly some manufacturer specific codes in addition to it.
Probably not a computer...
I used to tow a Nash 17k with a GVWR of 7400 lbs with the 3.6 V6 and 3.55 gears, however it was only 6600-6800 lbs when traveling (plenty of unused storage and I weighed it occasionally). Objectively the truck does fine with the load but if you're traveling in the mountains the high RPMs make it...
Aside from specialty manufacturers there are only two major manufacturers based in the US: Clarios (formerly Johnson Controls) and East Penn. Exide has a presence but is headquartered in India nowadys. Regardless of what the battery is branded as, it will most likely come from one of these three...
Glad you found the problem.
Modern vehicles don't have a simple switch anymore for the brake pedal. A typical automotive position sensor operates in the 0-5V range, in case of the brake pedal they actually use two of them for redundancy.
The connectors used on the RAM trucks can be a pain, they are all a little different, push this tab, pull here and whatnot. Did you get the tab to move before it broke ? If not try to slide it up with a pick or small screwdriver. The tab is just a lock for the actual latching mechanism. You can...
For background, the injectors get (simplified) 12V when the auto shutdown relay is on and the PCM grounds the individual other side wires at the appropriate time. The PCM monitors if there is 12V present when it doesn't ground the injector circuit, this is how it checks circuit integrity. The...
You might want to try the same with the APP2 circuit for comparison. Also with the jumper connected, measure the voltage from the 5V supply. If the voltage is pulled down to .45V it's probably a short to ground somewhere. If the voltage is 5V at the connector but the PCM only sees .45V it might...
First guess is always aftermarket stuff. Do you have anything electrical added ? The other possibility is something keeping one of the communication buses awake. That could be some gizmo plugged into the OBD2 port or a malfunctioning module. I had once a broken key fob that would randomly send...
Ok, I apologize for thinking this was a troll post. In any case, the snow plow prep package for $85 is just the upgraded alternator. Looking at the build sheet (not the Monroney) it does list the snow plow prep but then below it is says 180A alternator which doesn't square up. It might be...
