    Brand new RAM RHO

Relatively low entry level price for the segment, good power numbers with still reasonable fuel economy. Hopefully a larger tank option for longer range. Not something I'll give my PW up for, personally, but if I were starting fresh I'd at least look at one. Too bad it looks like it has the...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Ram RHO may be an interesting option. Relatively low entry level price for the segment, good power numbers with still reasonable fuel economy. Hopefully a larger tank option for longer range. Not something I'll give my PW up for, personally, but if I were starting fresh I'd at least look at...

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

MDS turns on and off in a few milliseconds. I would suggest it's a tune/program difference rather than an MDS issue. The only hesitation I ever saw with a hemi equipped vehicle was when I hit it hard enough to kick in traction control. 2021 police package with the awd/6 speed/hemi I basically...

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

Neither my 1500 nor 2500 has acted in that manner, nor do any of the hemi equipped cars I've had as work-mobiles. If it lurched and hesitated I would assume it's broken, not just the way MDS is.

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

2500s have it for sure. I never noticed it kick on at all in my 1500 5.7/6 speed. I can feel it in the 2500, especially once I added rock rails for some reason. Mostly just feel it through the gas pedal and a very minor vibration at times. Unless I'm paying attention for it, it's pretty much...

    Dear Ram,

Cheap aftermarket LEDs are cheap for a reason. I'll stick with my adaptive OEM lights any day. The lights swinging with the steering wheel to keep them centered in your view, the brightness for you without the splash into oncoming traffic, etc. totally worth it. Modern headlights are one of...

    Newbie struggling with truck choice

Here's one meeting your original criteria and it's in Illinois: https://www.stevefaulknerchrysler.com/used/Ram/2019-Ram-1500-for-sale-mount-carmel-il-f7d573970a0e082f6b89b644a4d914f9.htm And a Laramie...

Looks like I'm never buying RAM again...

Nobody drove a Chrysler when I was young, probably because there wasn't a dealer nearby. Plenty of farm trucks had the Ford or GM six cylinder with a manual transmission, though, and they sure AF weren't babied. We moved a lot of hay wagons with a GM 6 cylinder / 4M. The automatics of the day...

    Tyger Trax Nerf Bars

No mention of where they are made on their website. Warranty on the coating has an out that "This warranty does not include damage resulting from road hazards such as gravel or other debris" so if your nerf bars act like nerf bars and keep gravel from being thrown up on the truck... Given the...

Should I buy a Power Wagon with high miles?

I could count the number of times I used the flip up front seat in my 1500 on one hand in over a decade of use. All when my son was fairly young and visiting family upped the passenger count to 6. I wouldn't put anyone in that seat, even kids, for longer distances or on the interstate. No...

Max Care quote for my used 2021 Classic Warlock: No?

No need for the actuarial charts to get that specific across thousands of examples. The profit margin baked in already accounts for the extra gadgets.

    greasin that hitch

Maybe wd-40 silicone or dry lube. Silicone won't attract and hold dirt once set up, dry lube won't from the start. Just keep the hitch under 500 degrees F...

    Hurricane durability questions?

MPG for the truck. Power for the car. I don't drive my truck like a sports car and never have enough of a load to tax the 6.4L. More mpg = more range between fill ups, which I like. Car, I bought it for power and drive it as such. I don't drive it enough to make range much of an issue.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

It's too expensive. It takes premium gas to make the numbers. It sounds different than my daddy's studebaker. Not enough bro country songs feature it. Guys only complain about two things. When things change and when things stay the same. It's in the scary and new category now, it'll be in...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Auto is better at everything except fun. I don't care the Auto is a few tenths faster, the experience of driving with more engagement and control is worth the performance loss to me. Not every car is a for fun car, though, and I can appreciate both. Just not in a sports car / muscle car.
