Replace the Y up front with one from Magnaflow, high flow cat and muffler of choice. Mine has the Y, the cat, and an 18” Magna, single 3” pipe w/ turndown. Sounds good. Doesn’t fall on it’s face.
See if you can find a wiring diagram for that circuit. Should get you close to the culprit.
I had an Acura TL act like that once. Best I could tell was something triggered the alarm and it went until the brake light (I think) fuse opened. All sorts of things were on that circuit: tail lights...
Man, I’ve been there. Violent is the word! It happened to my 03 years ago. I’m pretty sure mine slung the pinion nut.
Same diff is in the truck today (overhauled of course!) Check out the teeth marks the gears left.
To me this pic makes the truck look shorter than it is and I think I want to upgrade the rear springs but I don’t want to lift the rear much if at all. It would definitely squat (I hate that term now) with 2 bikes in the bed or the bike trailer (which I rarely use) behind it.
Thank you! I’m very happy with the way it turned out. The handling is great but I do plan to upgrade the rear sway bar and control arms. I haven’t loaded any of my bikes in the bed yet so I don’t know how much it will squat. Depending on how that goes I may go for some of those heavier duty...
