I have a 2015 with the 8-Speed and experience similar. The first time it was slam-shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Ram replaced the Transmission Control Unit. That lasted a couple of months...then it did it again. They replaced the transmission. A couple of months later, it started overheating...
Here's your answer. You can even use it to cover the interior lights....which are white....your backup lights....which are white and your cargo bed light. Since you don't want white light everywhere when you get into the fields. If you have the lights on your side mirrors....might as well...
Update on my valve performance. Drove 1,000 miles over the 4th of July weekend....cruising 70mph on the interstate, 90F+ weather and I did not break 150F but once going though a mountain bypass route (note: PA Style mountain). She shifts nice and smooth, no whine when accelerating at...
I got one of Caulk's bypass valves....spent a couple of hours putting it in because had to go get some INTERNAL 90 degree snap-ring pliers. I got a set that does both. Had to jack up the drivers side tire to make room for my belly. Dropped the front drive axle (air tools RULE!).. Unbolted...
Neither.... EBC Greenstuff with EBC slotted rotors. I put EBCs on everything....motorcycle, Mustang, Dodge Journey, Durango and Ram. Give them a try.

Anyone try one of these? It bypases the heater and removes the t-stat.

Well here is what you are looking for.....a kit to delete the heater. Yeah I brought back an old thread.... deal with it.

As an owner of 1 bad ZF8 transmission that failed at 50K. It...
Damn....the base price for Big Horns today is about 2K less than the total sticker was on my '15 Big Horn. SMH. I'll never afford another truck at this rate. LOL.
If I could get to the top of it....I would. I'm ready to just buy another unit for $110 and pay for the 1.8 labor hours to swap it out at this point. I won't be supporting RAM/FCA/Chrysler on my next purchase for sure.
Ummmm....the short answer is no. Your shop screwed something up horribly. I have been changing brakes on multiple mopars for 20 years. 2000 Durango, 2006 Dakota, 2013 Journey, 2015 Ram. Never had a "seal issue". I've had to use an air-tool to get the rotors off (2015 Ram rust rust...
It's been at the local dealership for the last week....they finally got a service tech to look at it yesterday (on the 7th day....with an appointment a week earlier). I showed him photos of my trans temp rising to 217F on a flat highway in 68F weather with no load. Showed him multiple videos...
I too am getting a transmission whine the same as yours. I drive for 1/2 an hour at highway speed...the trans temp will climb to the 210-220 range. Then start whining.
On offramps I get a down-shift klunk from 8th to 7th and then she'll really whine. I had the transmission completely...
I went with the EBC USR's for rotors and Greenstuff pads.....truck stops on dime with total control. I ran USRs on my Dakota, and have them on my '00 Durango. Ram rotors are chinesium crap!!! I had to use an air hammer to get 3 of the 4 stock rotors off at 39months/58K miles. Recommend...
