No power steering after head gaskets.

Just wanted to finalize this post. 2 issues figured out later. The power steering pump leaked more than Britney Spears at a frat party, and a few injectors were not working whatsoever. I mean dead dead. Replaced the injectors and the PS pump and runs nice! Now I just need to stick some bigger...

No power steering after head gaskets.

So I did the head gaskets on my non running ram I got. Not sure if it had power steering before I got it. Good part is now it's running great. No check engine lights but I have no power steering after I was done. With that a few questions. Does it matter on the oil cooler attached to the...

All exhaust pushrods fall in? Can't see the lifters?

I am so used to doing LS heads I think I just thought that and tried to shove them in.

All exhaust pushrods fall in? Can't see the lifters?

Well this is past embarrassing and I'm glad I didn't un-torque the heads yet. I was staring down the oil ports, not the push rod ports. Being awake since 2am is playing with my common sense. As soon as I rested the rocker arm on it I realized it

All exhaust pushrods fall in? Can't see the lifters?

I will yank off a head tomorrow. Can I reuse that head gasket or should I just be smart and spend the few measly dollars for new? ... I think I just answered my question

All exhaust pushrods fall in? Can't see the lifters?

Okay so I'm either overthinking this or I have a big problem. Heads were sent out, resurfaced, new springs, etc... I put new lifters in. The intake push rods seem to push in ok but the exhaust valves fall all the way in if I let them. I used a camera to look down the hole and don't even see the...

Fuel rail end broke off in quick connect

Hi everyone, so I took a break from the problem! Cleared my head and came up with I think a pretty genius solution. I took a screw and put a few washers under it. Under the washer I put the fuel line disconnect tool. I screwed the bolt in and at the same it pushed the fuel line disconnect tool...

    Intake gaskets

I used felpro on my Chevy 5.3 and someone else's suburban and holding up just fine. I have over 50,000 miles I'm sure on them. No issues.

Weird clip Found between cylinder head and block

Here is an update. I pulled all the lifters without absolutely no issues. None stuck amazingly. Lifters are actually in nice shape except the fact that quite a few of those lock clips have fallen out of the lifter. All the lifters came out whole with no missing pieces. I took my camera and...

Weird clip Found between cylinder head and block

What happened to chemicals I saw in the 80's and 90's. With like skulls and crossbones with high and bright yellow warnings of never mixing that cleaner with other cleaners? Now I have potpourri smelling crap that doesn't do squat but the bathroom smells good!?! Let's find the 75.4ft snake

Weird clip Found between cylinder head and block

Heads are getting resurfaced and I will get them rechecked. My guy mentioned the same thing. He's backed up 3 weeks. In other entertaining news: drain Rocket is not good at unclogging this sink drain.

Fuel rail end broke off in quick connect

I bought a few cool tools. One was a lifter remover on Amazon. Absolutely easy tool to use and I got the lifters our super easy peasey. Straight out and no damage to the lifter walls. Just wanted to mention this in case you guys have to do it. I never used one for lifters before. Mad at myself...
