Intermittent Cruise Control Button Panel Not Working

I'm reviving this post as my intermittent cruise control has returned, but I've discovered a new way to solve the problem at least temporarily. When my CC is intermittent, I pull the fuse (in the TIPM box) for the cruise control (make sure key is off when you do so). Put the fuse back in and...

    2013 Hemi Misfire Cylinder 2

I had the same issue on my 2017 and it ended up being a bad fuel injector. Mention that to your mechanics as a possible source of the problem.

    P0303 code

I had a similar code a few months ago--it ended up being a bad fuel injector. That code was also accompanied by a barely detectable rough idle that eventually worsened to a VERY rough idle. The bad injector was always leaking into the cylinder, causing an overly rich mixture, which the...

    Slight shudder/vibration at idle

FWIW. . . I contacted RamCares to see if they'd help with the repair bill, as the truck only has 22,000 miles on it (out of warranty time-wise). To my surprise, they paid for the repair except for $100--I already have the check in hand. I am impressed with their customer service.

    Slight shudder/vibration at idle

UPDATE: It was the cylinder 7 fuel injector. It was replaced and the truck runs great now. The mechanic also said the O2 sensor was toast--likely because of an overly rich mixture dumping unburnt fuel into the exhaust.

    Slight shudder/vibration at idle

The shop called yesterday and are replacing the O2 sensor to see if that fixes my issue--supposed to hear from them today if it fixed it or not. I think they're ruling out the easy stuff first. Stay tuned.

    Slight shudder/vibration at idle

Mine started exactly like you're describing-- like every few minutes I could feel a slight shake (when idling and paying attention) that only lasted a fraction of a second, them would be normal again. That's what caused me to believe it was a dirty fuel system initially. Yesterday it went bad...

    Slight shudder/vibration at idle

I just posted about the same thing (Engine performance sub-forum) happening with my 2017 Hemi. . .that rough idle went on for weeks until today it got much worse and started throwing codes / check engine light (P0307 and P0300). Dealer appointment has been made, but sadly they're backlogged for...

    2017 1500, 5.7L, 22,000 miles P0307, P0300, check engine light on

In recent weeks I noticed that the idle was a little rough at times, but the truck seemed to drive OK and engine roughness wasn't noticed while driving it and at that point it showed no codes stored in the computer. I put fuel system cleaner in one tank of fuel with no improvement...

Thud when taking off from stop

If your gas tank is half (or less) full, the gas sloshing in the tank can cause a thud. Fill your tank up and see if you still notice it.

    Strength of fan

Check your cabin air filter. . . one thing I noticed when I recently changed to one of the Fram Fresh Breeze filters was that it was more restrictive than the stock OEM filter. Replace your filter with OEM or similar if it hasn't been done recently.

    Booming/Vibration/Drone at Low RPM - '17 Ram 1500 Hemi

I have a '17 Crew Cab 5.7L and know exactly what you're saying. I think that when MDS kicks in at low RPMs that's just gonna be what it sounds like. Personally, I don't think it's bothersome--I don't spend much time in that power realm anyway.

Intermittent Cruise Control Button Panel Not Working

There's a FCA technical service bulletin for the cruise control issue (a common known issue, the service adviser should know about it.)--I had the same problem and they covered the repair under warranty, but my truck is a 2017 and still under warranty. They didn't replace my button panel, but...
