True.
Add ****** rotors and brake pads to the list when cutting corners. That's poor on FCA.

I don't have the miles yet to experience any brake woes, but I don't doubt you. My '01 went through OEM front brakes every 18 months and OEM rotors every 36 months, but I knew the brakes and 46RE transmission were less than stellar before I bought it. I changed to Stainless Steel Brakes brand pads and slotted rotors which extended pad life to 24 months and 48 months on the rotors. I think it was at the 200k mile mark that I chose to replace the rear shoes, and they were only half used. Way too much front bias on that truck.

I’m with ya on the paint. It’s brutal how easy it scratches and chips. Mine is the brilliant black and it shows everything

As for the tick. I can only go from my experience in a 5.7. I switched to their synthetic and it’s pretty much stopped. Not saying it’s a cure or whatever and I don’t wanna start an oil debate. Those suck lol. But that’s what I’ve experienced. My 2016 with 3.6 also got fed their synthetic and quiet also.

That's what I was hoping but all mine's had so far is the MOPAR Pennzoil at the dealer. I verified the one here uses that specific synthetic as instructed and they have it in stock in the Parts department. For now letting them do it since with their 3-change packages I can't do it cheaper myself and if something DOES happen warranty has it.

Thanks for the reply.
If I keep the truck, I'll upgrade to a big brake kit with slotted rotors. I'll have to hit up Nick@gotexhaust.

Next time you need pads/rotors, try "YellowStuff" pads. They are way better than stock. I went thru a set a year but that was because I drove it like I stole it EVERY DAY! They are excellent pads IMHO. Like to make your eyeballs pop out when you mashed down on the brake.

That's why I went with solid window on the new one. All the friggin' bed dirt just blows all over your head and into the cab.
.

For a couple hundred bucks, you could put a cover on the bed and problem solved.

No, just the rotors and pads.
I'm not even sure how many kits there are available for our Ram trucks. I don't want to spend thousands, but willing to dish out good money for a great product.

I have no idea what's out there either.

There were a couple I saw when doing a quick Google search, but not sure about quality.
I'll have to get in contact with Nick@GotExhaust when I am ready about all the options. I'll keep you posted for sure.

This isn't just about my truck, its about a lot of newer vehicles. I don't like having to click through different menus to get all the information thats available about my truck's status. Tire pressure, oil and coolant temps, whatever. I wish all or most of it was displayed on just one larger screen or in different parts of the instrument cluster so its available at a glance. I have to resist the temptation not to mess around with it while I'm driving.

You can set up a LOT of different bits of data on one screen...something like 8 data points at any given time

I've got a Tradesman with pretty basic features. I'm not aware of being able to do that on mine. Not entirely sure, though.

Why would you want to "upgrade" that? I can't speak for gen 4 Rams but typically master cylinders in cars today last a looooong time since they're aluminum. It used to be cast iron back in prehistoric times and they would get a rust 'trough" in the bottom of the cylinder bore due to moisture settling there, I rebuilt quite a few back then. that was if the trough wasn't too deep & I could hone out the bore & clean it up without removing too much metal.

I have used both Greenstuff and Yellowstuff on the Avalanche.

Yellow is better but way more dust

Geen is way better than OEM and has way less dust than the Yellow.

I will go with Greenstuff in my RAM when it is time for pads!

I thought if your adding a big brake kit, you would need more pressure from the master cylinder.
