Well I installed the hikeit throttle controller it's definitely worth the money. Wakes the truck up gives me a great idea of how great a tune would make this truck move. Love it no complaints

Until today, I did not know that my uConnect RA-5 could do hand-free texting on my phone (just bought and got an unlocked Moto z4 this past week, and finally got it activated and paired to the truck today. My previous phone, an ancient 2014-era LG G3, didn't have the Bluetooth capability to do texting.)
So, I wasn't aware I could do that - the RA-5 uConnect has more goodies than the baseline uConnect 3 (RA-3), but nowhere near the goodies that the uConnect 8.1 (RA-8) has. The RA-5 is found in with the SLT's from 2017 onwards - so basically in fleet trucks that are used as rentals, I presume.
This is really cool, though... I can send and receive texts hands-free now, and I never knew that I had the ability to do that.

This week I found a damn good deal that I absolutely couldn't pass up...
A member here was selling the bed cover on his truck. A hard trick fold Undercover Flex for a 6.4 bed. I bought it for $90

I wish I could find those riding toys like that. I mean a Ram riding toy. If got 2 grandsons now and a granddaughter in the oven.Picked up a Barbie Jeep for my baby girl and replaced my fuel injectors

Installed a HIKEit X9 Peddle controller. Literally had it in and running in 10 min. WOW!!.... what an amazing difference in throttle response. Hi setting is actually to squirrely. You pretty well spin the tires every time you press the gas from a stand still and just with a light touch of the pedal......

Started to finish my LED/HID bulb conversion on the truck. Last weekend I did the HID low beam and the LED high beam. This weekend, I did LED fogs as well as 3rd brake light, cargo and license plate bulbs. VERY happy with results so far. No "bulb error" so far and all worked 100% right out of the package.

My son wanted the fire truck to match my 99. But now he wants the regular Cummins one to match our new truck. Unfortunately he is almost 2 big for them. So he won't be getting another, onto dirtbikes and fourwheelers

What brand did you use? Why didn’t you use hid’s in the high beams?

I have the projector style lights.
LED in the projectors give a very bad beam pattern and reduced light output. The way the projectors condense the light make LED a very poor option. The LED's in the high beams on the other hand, being a reflector housing, are insane!
The Xenon HID is best suited in the projector housing.

4 New Power Stop Brakes
After some broken fingers (parking bradke) and many f... words i have changed all brake pads and discs.
Also changed the tie rod ends.
Unforrunately the brake caliper on drivers side is broken, so now im waiting for a new one to complete the truck again.

Hoping to get my truck back after it being down about 4 months to have the motor rebuilt.
Greene cam and now a 6.1 from a 5.7 also up to a 11:1 compression with some domed pistons. Should be a new truck now
we shall see.
